  4. I am so very sorry this has happened right after your surgery. I know it is painful when your get your heart broken, but don't let that hold you back from remembering why you got the band in the first place. It was to be healthy and happy, and you don't need anyone to do that for you. It is all up to you!!! You may be suprised at how fast you get over this jerk. I will keep you in my thoughts. Turn that frown upside down sister!!!
  5. Thanks for all your feedback and support.

  13. The RN at my doctors office told me yesterday that the last two people who have had my insurance have had to do 6 months of doctor supervised dieting. When my insurance sent me the paper work about the surgery it did not say anything about having to do 6 months of doctor supervised dieting. I will be really upset if that is the case. Has this ever happen to anyone else?
  14. Hey everyone my doctors office told me today that my insurance might ask me for 6 months of diet before they approve me lap band surgery. When I read the documents that insurance sent me it does not say anything about having to have 6 months of documentation. I did do 3 months of adipex with my doc and they have that record. I hope that is enough to get me through. Have any of you had this happen? They will be submitting my info to the insurance company tomorrow. Please say a little prayer for me!
  15. I live in OH and anthem does cover the lap band, but my BMI is about 38 and it has to be 40 or over to be covered, or you have to have co-morbid conditions. The problem is I don't have any co-morbid conditions and don't get me wrong I am very happy that I don't, but I feel just because I am a few BMI points aways I can't get help to lose weight. Have any of you every been approved with having a BMI under 40 with no co-morbid conditions? Also I do have depression and have been treated for it for years now does that qualify as a co-morbid condition? I also have a long history of heart disease and diabetes in my family. Let me know what you guys think.
  16. Hello Angel I am new here also. I am not scheduled to get the lapband yet either, but looking for info. Just wanted to say hi because I am 26 today, and I have a 3 year old son. Sounds like we have some stuff in common.
