Do you have a spouse and kids to cook for? Are you or have you gone through counseling to get prepared for cooking for others and maybe not being able to eat what their eating, etc. It is a challenge in itself, but fortunately, my cravings are gone! I actually have a harder time figuring out what I want to eat and what agrees with me now.

What's the status on your surgery and progress?

I think that's about 2 hours away. Not sure. But maybe in the spring we can meet half way. Having knee replacement surgery Monday. Will be out of commission for a while, then the other in February. I'm excited! Not for the pain, but to be able to get around. How's it going so far? What's the hardest part for you? Hope you're doing well.

Can't even get together now because I'm having a knee replacement surgery this Monday. Maybe in a few months we can all meet half way. Or video chat. Or zoom if I can figure out how to do it again!

I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I can't imagine going through this alone. There is no excuse! The one person was right. Everything is falling through the cracks because of covid and the lack of medical help. I hope you find your answers and don't take no for an answer! You deserve help and guidance. We're on here for emotional support, but that's not going to take the place of professional, medical help. Best of luck!

This ain't no picnic, that's for sure. But it does get easier. I promise.

Just had the xiphoid process removable this Monday, outpt surgery. They wouldn't let me keep it!! I wanted a souvenir. Not bad, but I never realized how hard it would be to do things. Bending over is not fun right now. Lol Hopefully it will prove to be worth it. Next surgery: double knee replacement. No cartilage in either. First one next month. Can't wait. They're really getting bad. The irony: they've never been this thin!! Can't win.

You're lucky

I would love to have the other plastic surgeries, but my insurance only covers skin removal of the abdomin. I wish I could afford the rest! But this is just too uncomfortable for me. I didn't go through all of this to still be miserable. Thx for sharing your story.
