  1. Looking for some new recipes to try. I am not very picky and eat just about everything. I've found some things on Pinterest, but kind of getting tired of the same things all the time. High protein recipes would be great. I was never a huge meat eater even before surgery, so the protein part is sometimes a struggle. I do sometimes do the protein shakes, but I would prefer not doing them unless I really need that extra protein. I've been doing pretty good getting my protein with the food I eat, but like I said I need some new recipes!
  2. What have you found to be the best exercises for toning arms that can be done at home?
  3. I was not allowed to start incorporating weights until 6 months post op. Even though I despise walking for exercise I was up and walking around a few hours after surgery. The first few weeks as others have said I didn't have much energy, so it was hard to do much of anything. Once I was able to eat more solid foods and had some energy I was able to start walking more. I do try to take the dog for a walk a few times a week at least around the block (he had surgery and is not able to do long walks for quite some time). Once we have the space for it I plan on getting treadmill or bike so even when the weather is not optimal outside I can still get some activity in.
