I had my Psych Eval yesterday - we did it via telehealth. It lasted one hour, she asked mainly about my history with dieting, my life history in general, what I typically ate in a day and a lot about my mental health progress with my therapist. She wanted me to be 100% sure that I was ready for all of the changes. She told me that she believed I was a good candidate for the surgery BECAUSE I had obviously had previous trauma and things that needed sorting and that I rose to the occasion to sort them out.

Thank you so much for this! I have my first consult in one week and this was something I was curious about. $50 a month seems very do-able. I want to share one thing that I think will make others contemplating or having had DS... my first thought was "OMG, what happens and I end up on a deserted island and cannot take my vitamins?!?" As if I was Tom Hanks or something. HAHAHAHAHAHA. The mind is a curious thing.
