Hi...My name is Pj. I've been married to my wonderful husband for 39 years. We have 2 sons, ages 37 & 34. 2 gorgeous granddaughters, ages 8yrs & 12 months. I work for the Dallas County Tax Office, going on 13 years. I love my job very much. My hobbies are, MY GRANDDAUGHTERS, reading, scrapbooking, gardening. I'm fixing to add a new hobby to this list, which will be exercising. As soon as my band heals I'm joining 24 hr. fitness with my daughter-in-law. I quit smoking 20 months ago. Since then I have gained soooooooo much weight. I have a problem sticking to a diet, I do better when I have rules and guidelines I MUST follow. I would always say....I will start my diet tomorrow. Since my pre-op diet started July 21st I have lost 12 lbs. I have not felt well for some time due to this excess weight, which has caused my blood pressure to get very high. I don't have the energy I once had. 2 years ago, I took my granddaughter to 6 Flags over Texas, there is no way I could today. I want to feel better, and live to see my granddaughters grow up. I love swimming, can't remember the last time I put a bathing suit on. One thing I am looking forward to next summer is buying a new bathing suit, going swimming and taking my granddaughter to the waterpark. Good Luck everyone on your weight loss journey. Janet, I remember you mentioning that you were going to have a test done I thought on the 23rd of July. I never saw the results of the ultra sound. Now I just read you are having a biopsy? Were they not happy with ultra sound? You are in my prayers!!

I'm sure once you get your fill you will have the proper restriction. Wonder why they wait so long to fill it, does it take that long for you to heal?

I'm in Dallas county also. Was 104 here today...soooo hot. When were you banded? My surgery date is Aug. 4th. 1 week from tomorrow. Good luck !!!

Shelly...I am anxious to try the talipia. I will let you know. Planning on having it Tuesday night, my daughter in law loves it, son and his family will be over Tuesday night, I told her I would fix us that. Let me know when you get your date.....Good Luck to U also & ty. Weighted this morning, have lost 10 lbs since last Monday on my pre-op diet. I had my date set before my pre-op diet started. Its amazing how different every DR. is.

Are the oven baked fish sticks breaded? Are they pretty good? The only fish I like is tuna, salmom croquettes, long john silver, or popcorn shrimp. all a no-no except the tuna. I am going today to buy some talipia, I have been told it doesnt have the fishy taste.

Can you eat fruit sauces, vege juice, any type of Soup as long as there are no chunks, thinned cream of wheat, cream of rice, malt o meal. or grits? My surgery date is Aug. 4th. I have my instruction pamplet in front of me now looking at what I can eat on 3rd day. How about some LOW CARB Slim Fast...i love those.

Wow !! Nina, you are so creative. I love the 2nd one. I had my pre-op appt. yesterday. Monday I start my strict diet for 2 weeks, no liquid diet...woo hoo. I am so excited, yet nervous too. My surgery is Aug. 4th. Hopefully I will figure out how to get a ticker and the banner put on. I'm having a horrible time figuring it out. :scared2:

The only thing I am worried about is getting through the liquids only for 2 weeks. :confused2:

Will someone please send me instructions....(step by step) on setting up the ticker for days until my surgery. I just can't figure it out. :confused_smile: Would really appreciate it.

My pre op appt is this friday the 18th.

Sorry to hear it is taking so long for some of you to get approved. Hope you get answers soon. My surgery date is Aug. 4th. My first appt to see the lap band Dr. was May 7th. Got Insurance approval May 14th. Had to see psycologist and nutritionist, then date was set. Good luck to you.
