Hi ~ Everyone... Thanks for the well wishes & prayers. They sure came in handy... Everything went very well. Dr. Price was wonderful and all of the staff at Mt. Carmel Hospital were great. Hi everyone ~ I went to the support group meeting @ Polaris. It was nice to meet with other banders and visit. Angie ~ Aug. 27th is quickly approaching...

I always had trouble getting an IV, until someone finally told me to drink plenty of water the day before. Since then it has been a whole lot better.

Sept. 2 in columbus, ohio

I am keeping my surgery on a need to know bases. I have told only the people that live in our house...Husband & 3 kids. But isn't this wonderful that we can come here and talk about something that is so important to each one of us and not be judged by our size or what we are or are not doing right! I'm glad I found this website... and all of you...

Hi ~ Everyone...Do any of you go to the support group meetings? I hope to make it to the next meeting at Polaris mall Aug. 9th... I have never been to one yet. Angie ~ Pre-op testing is Aug. 7th @ 8:30 and Pre-op Appt. with Dr. Price Aug. 29 @ 3:00 SpecialK ~ Sept. 2nd I have to be there at 6:30 & my surgery is at 8:30, I can always use an extra prayer...Thanks Going on a short vacation... back next week

Hi gg, Just watched your 3rd video... I like your determination and drive in this journey. You know what you want and you don't need all the extra opinions that some friends and family like to give. I have also kept my decision about the band on a need to know basis. My husband, my daughter and my two sons are the only ones I have shared this with. My mom still thinks I checking it out and I will tell her before surgery (but not to soon I don't want her to worry) Yes, we can't forget about the miss conception that this is the easy way out. They are soooo wrong... I am not looking for the big wow effect on others about weight loss and I don't want the band to consume all conversations... I just want to be healthy and normal.

Hi gg - I just watched your you tube and I am so happy for you. You seem to know what you want and I think you are going to make it happen. What is your pre op diet like that starts the first part of Aug.? I dont know what I have to do yet... I have been trying to get more protein in, watching what I eat and exercising more. The 1st of Sept. will be here before we know it.

Welcome Home lynlynkr... Its nice to know you felt good enough to post here the day after surgery. I'm happy for you and cant wait to hear how you are doing. I just got my date and I'm feeling all kinds of emotions.

Hi everyone, I just got my paper in the mail and My lap band surgery is set up for Sept. 2. Full of all different emotions... But I am soooo happy to finally have a date to look forward to. It will be here before I know it.
