  10. Just started. Now I’m 6 days post and feeling better but my intake hasn’t improved much either. I can drink a whole bottle of water 12-14 oz and or Gatorade, but not a bottle of protein shake. Check up is soon. Im telling it all.

  12. My doctors allow yogurt and jello and sugar free popsicles during my liquid diet phase. See if they’ll do the same for you?

  15. Thank you! I thought was wrong with me. I’ll stick to liquids at least for another week or so and when I’m ready I’ll try mushy foods. Not trying to rush the process. I want to be able to eat food and enjoy it, without the heartburn. So thank you for the advice. Happy holidays!

  18. I get calls everyday. Today they told me I could try tuna or soft fish’. I’ll check again during my post op appointment.
  19. My doctor did at the hospital. He said if I feel up to it, I could try eating mushy foods. From reading the blogs and talking to people I realize every doctor treats their patients different. Im actually going back to liquids on my own . Thanks for the advice
  20. 3 days out of surgery and today is my mushy meal day. I’m suppose try to eat 3 meals a day with 3 Protein Shakes in between meals. I don’t know where on earth will it all fit, but I’m trying. Sometimes I drink protein water instead of shakes, because it’s easier. The problem is the moment I Try to eat past 2oz of food I get heartburn... like if food is trapped . Will that go away? It’s that normal? I have to use gasx or take a sip of water to ease it? A part of me is reconsidering asking for my stomach back.
  21. I brought a BlendJet! (Personal blender can make anything) Love it. Ice trays I get... some people live off ice cubes to get their water intake or store left over food or sauces. I use my ice trays for smoothies. Thick and frothy. That’s it besides, jello, pudding mixes, protein shakes, and powder peanut butter. Good luck
  22. I’m on the liquid diet with 3 meals. Third day (today) I’m allowed mushy foods. Just had super ground Turkey. Yummy

  26. Yes this is true. The regular floors are being overrun. By Covid patients so they are keeping people separate on the recovery floors instead. Plus if you’re in NY this is the last week for elective surgery. Next week it will be shut down again. So my suggestion is go for it. I did.
  27. Just had my surgery on 12/15. They told me when I was already there. Plus I wasn’t allowed visitors. The nurses are super sweet and nice. It’s going to be okay. Trust me. Literally just went through it. Plus you’ll get more attention and look after more. Consider it special care.
  28. Are we allowed to take these? I read we shouldn’t take Advil or ibuprofen but it didn’t say Tylenol. Just checking
  29. Lucky, I want to poop. Then again I’m only 2 days out of surgery.
  30. Hi, Just had my surgery in 12/15 and I feel really gassy plus my body decided to send me my monthly gift too, aka my period. Any suggestions on food intake. I’m allowed to eat mushy foods but I’m scared now. Today I drank half a bottle of Protein Shake with no problems. Also drank Protein water and regular water too in 30ml (1oz) cups. I don’t want to over do it. How will I know it’s too much? At the hospital I threw up a lot because of the meds and the contrast. I don’t want to throw up at home too.
