I’m on liquids and oatmeal right now which is horrible for me ?

Hello, My surgeon obstructed my biles on 3/3 which caused me to throw up my biles for a week. I had emergency surgery to correct the issue on 3/12. ( oh my goodness never knew how major of a surgery that was). I’m home now feeling a lot better just grouchy because my new belly doesn’t like artificial sweetener like my old belly did lol. Thank you so much for checking on me.

They just took me for a CT scan. No I’m alone my boyfriend leaves for OTR tomorrow.

I have no idea I’m waiting in the wheel chair in the room right now. The drew blood and wanted me to drink the white foamy stuff but I can’t because I can’t keep anything down. I threw up shortly after they asked me.

So I had my post op appointment and told my surgeon every complication I was having and she said sounds like something went wrong and the only way to fix it is to have another surgery. She instructed me to go back to the hospital. I told her I will in the am once I dropped my bf off at the airport( he has no one else. On my way home I started having horrible shoulder bed could barley walk upright it’s just so much I’ve been in bed since I got home.

? I don’t even get a puréed food stage.

Oh no I’m not I have a dr appointment tomorrow thank god! I’m scared to sleep because when I sleep I regurgitate. Hopefully I get answers tomorrow

Try ice. Is week two still liquids for you? I get to add yogurt, pudding and skim milk in week two day 15 and week three it’s just half a banana, cream of wheat, and oatmeal. I can’t wait to eat my oatmeal and banana. I wonder if they would let me add a little peanut butter. Every week is broken down with tiny you can eat options. I have to wait all the way to week at to eat seafood and week 7 to eat any form of meat ?. It’s seafood season in Louisiana

I just want to figure out why my reflux and burps taste like bile once that is figured out I’m sure I will be way happier. It’s good to know you’re doing well.

Thank you, the burps taste and smell horrible. I have my 1st post op appointment Thursday and I will definitely go there with a lot of questions.

My surgery was 3/3 the first day was fine, but the second day I was throwing up green fluid running a fever of 101. My doctors husband told the nurse to stop giving me liquids and put steroids in my IV. The next day I felt ok so I was discharged Saturday. Monday my mouth produced excessive salvia and today I was doing fine until I ate jello. I vomited I have these disgusting burps and always nauseated burping up this nasty tasting fluid. I really don’t want to regret my surgery but I’m not getting a break

I’m happy you posted this I just had RNY and have been having the same issues. Hopefully this is something that will go away. I would love to keep my liquids down and not taste horrible burps all the time!

That’s one of the issues I have I love love love water and I down it! Now I have to sip sip sip. The sipping makes it hard to get all the fluids in.

Hello, thank you I’ve been using my heating pad a lot today isn’t as horrible as the other days. Now I’m just dealing with an over production of saliva. I can’t wait to catch a break!

Yes the gas is killing me!! Me either when I went get my EGD the nurses were like oh we’ll just keep you 24hours after the surgery so I went in Wed thinking I’m going home Thursday but nope didn’t happen. Home feels amazing

The day after my surgery I was running a fever and couldn’t keep anything down so they took me off of liquids. I’m going home today but this gas pain is horrible.

Hello all, I had my surgery Wednesday and today I’m finally leaving the hospital. I have been walking like crazy but I have the worst gas pain at the top of my belly. I’ve been chewing gas x, please any tips will be appreciated.

When I got the hospital all nerves when away. I’m fine just a little pain and this IV got me on the toilet ? nonstop
