  1. Omg 100lbs in 6 months?? Wow. Now I am worried I chalked it up to my having a lower BMI. But we started at the same weight I am 5 months post op and only loss 43lbs. What did you do?
  2. Weight loss check in. Surgery 10/14. Starting weight 222 current 182. I feel like it is really slow moving. How many calories is everyone taking in? I am at about 700. How are you all coming along?
  3. I eat about 3 ounces of protein, per meal, very little vegetables no starch/carbs at all. My nutritionist recommended I stay away from carbs/Starch until I reach my goal weight. I pretty much just have protein.

  5. Go get measured. The store can direct you to the best fit.
  6. I easily transitioned with ground beef but everything else was/is a struggle. The trick with not over eating is eating slow. I am terrible at it. But the times I do I notice a huge difference. Really though everyone is different see what works for you and use it as a staple then slowly work in other things. I am 2.5 months post op and my diet is pretty much the same from 6 weeks post op. It works for me so I am sticking with it for now. Yogurt, protein shake, ground beef with taco season or tomato sauce, protein shake, ground beef with tacon season or tomato sauce. Sounds boring but it fills me up, makes me feel like I am eating gives me my protein requirements and gives a lot of flavor.

  8. I am about 2 weeks shy of 3 months (surgery date 10/14. My starting weight was 222, I weigh 190 now. I went down 2.5 sizes. Yes I see a big difference. Can't wait for an even bigger difference. I struggle most days because I feel it should be coming off faster but it's better than nothing so I'll take it.

  10. I was on protein shakes on my pre-op diet, every doctor is different with what they allow and don't allow. I was allowed a normal diet up to 4 days before my surgery. Most people aren't allowed a regular diet that long but it is what my doctor allows.

  21. How much did you lose in your first month post op? Surgery 10/14 surgery weight 222 weight as of tiday 205. I am only down 17lbs. I feel like it should be more.
  22. Hey all had the sleeve on 10/14, just got put on pureed and I am struggling to get it down. The food keeps getting stuck. Making me nauseous. Do I need to puree it longer? I switch to soft foods on Thursday and I am not sure I will be able to eat anything. I feel like I will live on cream soup for the rest of my life lol.

  24. I am 16 days post op (Sleeve) I only lost 14lbs so far. I feel like my clothes are looser but the scale doesn't seem to move. Preop weight was 222. Triple zero greek yogurt for breakfast 2 protein shakes and 1/2 cup of heart healthy pea soup for dinner. I have been getting close to 32ozs of water. What am I doing wrong??
  25. Oh yes mine started on Day 3 seems to have let up by day 6. I am on an all liquid diet so to me it was coming out the way it went in. As long as you aren't going 6 times an hour and just shortly after eating I think it's OK.
  26. Try freezing the protein shakes and eating it like an ice pop. Thats what I have been doing 5 days post op. While it doesn't make it perfect it allows me to get through it faster and I am chewing which makes me mentally feel like I am eating something.
  27. I had the surgery on Wednesday the 14th. I am having a hard time reading my body outside of the pain from gas and incisions. How are you fairing?

  31. Hello all, I am having the Sleeve on Thursday this week and up until now I have been really excited, now not so much. I keep questioning if I should do it on my own. Its just seems really daunting at this point. I started my pre surgical diet yesterday and pretty much spent the last 2 days dying of hunger and in the bathroom (sorry for the TMI). I am sure that is what is causing the freak out. But well here I am. Well thanks for listening.
