  1. Thanks for the positive vibes my friend and good luck to you.. your surgery is right around the corner... I'm praying you make it to your surgery date and you are going strong through that preop diet. Faith be with you
  2. Thanks hun. Yeah it's been rough working as a nurse during these times. I work in the isolation unit and I kind of figured it was coming.. but was still hopeful... I'm sure it will happen when it needs to happen... right now.. just a little worried with the spike in cases and working mandatory overtime.. its been rough
  3. You're beautiful thanks for all the kind words and prayers. I'm sure it will all happen on Gods time.
  4. The cancelled my surgery due to the recent spike in COVID cases ?.. I'm crying... now I have to wait and see and GOD knows when they will reopen elective surgeries. Pray guys.. please pray this is all over soon
  5. I will be having the sleeve. I don't mind telling my assigned nurses that I'm a nurse. Actually I have some friends working on the floor bariatrics recover.. and I've actually asked my best friend who is a nurse also request that surgery with the surgeon so she will be my or nurse.
  6. Yes love. They put that in just in case. You will have to sign consents to possible open procedure as most of these procedures are done laparoscopic but surgeons must be prepared to go in openly of complications occur. Therefore u assume the risks when u sign consents.. the case of this happening is rare... but obviously they cannot stop mid laparoscopic procedure and ask u to sign consents for an open procedure lol... be calm and have faith no complications will occur.
  7. July 15th here.. so nervous and excited at the same time!
  8. Well I take regular vitamins daily.. I take iron and vitamin d and a multi for a while now... As far as the bariatric ones.. probably going to stick my regular routine and add biotin, calcium and a probiotic. Barimelts is the brand I wanna go with... I've heard so many great stuff about them
  9. They do the same thing for my surgeon they schedule the date and then submit.. they initially called me with a date of 7/01 .. but that's my sons 4th birthday.. I didnt wanna schedule it then.. so the following date available was 7/15 soooo that's what I settled for... I'm so excited/nervous...
  10. I got my date today.. july 15th!!! Omg we are surgery buddies!
  11. Hi ladies I've read all your comments.. sooo exciting to know we are getting surgeries soon. I started the process back at the end of april.. but because of covid19 everything was just so slow... now in may and june I've had all my appointments and lab work done.. only thing I'm missing is my final nutrition appointment for preop liquid diet on june the 10th. I'm in Florida I dont know what your insurances required for me it was. Pre labs (tsh, vitamin d, vitamin b12, hemoglobin a1c, pt/inr, aptt, CBC, and CMP and lipid panel, h.pylori breath test) Upper GI Series Letter of medical necessity from PCP Two nutrition appointments. Mental Health Evaluation I'm excited to get a surgery date for. I called my weight loss coordinator and she said usually after last appointment (nutritionist) it is tentatively scheduled for 3-4 weeks out.. so I'm looking at the first or second week of july. Ahhhhhh so exciting
