  1. I went in August 2020. I have nothing but good things to say about there process.
  2. I believe my initial call to Blossom was May-June timeframe. Surgery date was August 2020. The reason my surgery date took a few months was because they had a back log due to being shut down with Covid. I highly recommend using Blossom.
  3. Congratulations on your surgery date. I went to Blossom in August 2020. They have a great program. VSG is a great tool to help with weight loss, but you have to do the work. Let me know if you have any questions.
  4. I went to Blossom in Aug 2020. I went alone. I flew from NJ to Vegas. I had a companion from Blossom. She was very helpful after the surgery. During this time, Blossom did not allow guests in their buildings. A guest would have been sitting in the hotel alone. I had no issues with the plane ride. I just took my time. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I highly recommend Blossom and theit services. My weight loss journey was well worth it. Good luck.

    February 2021 Sleeve Surgery

It is normal to be scared. It is a permanent procedure, but that is what I needed. I had the sleeve done in August 2020. No complications and glad I did it. The procedure is a tool, but you have to work on putting healthy food in your body. If you follow the food guidelines, you will not fail. We all make mistakes. Don't beat yourself up when it happens. Just reset and start again. Your health is a life time commitment. Good luck with your weight loss journey.
  6. I had my vsg in August 2020 with no complications. I started with a BMI of 35. My BMI is now down to 23.5. Since surgery (26 weeks), I have lost 47 lbs, but if I include the pre-op diet weight loss, I have lost 59 lbs. The weight loss has been slow. With the sleeve, they remove ghrelin. Ghrelin stimulates the brain to increase your appetite. It has been strange not to crave sugary treats. I have no regrets getting the surgery. Good luck with whatever procedure you choose.
  7. I used Blossom in August 2020. I have Anthem Blue Cross insurance. Before I agreed to the vsg, Blossom took my insurance info. I paid $9000. To date, my insurance has paid over $10k. I had a great experience with Blossom. Sorry it didn't work out for you. Good luck on your weight loss journey.
  8. Congratulations on your surgery date. I went to Blossom in August 2020. They have a great program. VSG is a great tool to help with weight loss, but you have to do the work. Let me know if you have any questions.
  9. Congratulations 👏. I had vsg done at Blossom in August 2020. I went from NJ to Vegas myself. I had no issues. Blossom has a great program. VSG is a great tool to help with weight loss.
  10. I am 5'4 and 61 years old. Starting weight was 195 (BMI 35). I chose the sleeve and paid out of pocket. Went to Blossom in Las Vegas. The day after surgery I had a 5 hour flight and then a 2 hour car ride home. I did the trip alone and no one knows I had surgery. I was sore, but not in severe pain. I just took it slow. The day of surgery weighed 183. Monday was 12 weeks post op for me. I lost a total of 42 lbs. The weight loss has been slow. I track my water, calories and protein very day. I only record my weight once a week, but do weigh myself every day. Adding real food back into your diet is a scary and slow process. You are not sure what your new stomach will tolerate. Remember to put the fork down and push your plate away after the first bite. Give your stomach time to see how it reacts to what you just put in it. All I can say is go slow and be kind and patient with yourself. This is a marathon, not a sprint. You need to eat a little because your energy will be low. It is ok to take a nap during the day. It is a weird feeling not to be hungry. You will hear this from everyone - sip, sip, sip. You need to put fluids into your body. Dehydration will put you in the hospital. I know they want to you drink 64 oz, but that is unrealistic in the beginning. I now can take a normal drink of water (no gulping). Let me know if you have any specific questions. Good luck with your journey.
  11. I did not tip the drivers. I also did not see anyone else do it. You will have different drivers depending on which location you are going to.
  12. Overall using Blossom was a great experience. They really took care of you. Having drivers pick you up for all apts took the stress out of allot of the process. Everything was discussed with you (also watch their videos) and there were no surprises. Surgery day is the worst. Walking that day really helps. Also, take the medication they give you if you need it. They give you a bag with all of the items you will need for after the surgery. My biggest worry was my five hour flight home and then a 2 hour car ride. For me, I had no big issues. I just took my time. Each day you feel a little better. I choose Blossom because I would not qualify for bariatric surgery thru my insurance. My BMI was 35. I am 10 weeks post op now and down a total of 40 lbs since I started my pre-op diet. It is crazy to think I have lost that much weight and I am not hungry. Let me know if you have any addtional questions.
  13. I went to Blossom in August. I travelled alone and was glad I did. No visitors are allowed at Blossom or Warm Springs site. I used Blossom's companion and she was with me the minute I left Warm Springs. They monitored me constantly. We also walked the hotel halls together many times. I highly recommend using Blossom's companion care.
  14. I went to Blossom in August for vsg. The treadmill test was not bad. Not a fast speed, but a high incline. You can hold onto the handle bar of the treadmill

    Anyone for August 2020

No. I am 5 weeks post op sleeve. Any food larger than the size of my thumb will cause me pain. Also, cannot eat more than 2 oz of food at any meal. I rarely feel hungry. If I don't eat, I will get weak and tired.
