I am not sure that it is going to be covered by insurance. i just started a new job and wont have insurance til like 1 1/2 more mnths. I am hoping so! I am gonna make sure that I check into it though! thanks for askin.

thanks for ur response. i am scared but i have been thinking about this long enough. no sure how i am going to pay because i wont have ins til 8/1 and i dont have any credit which is like bad credit to be financed. wishing to get the procedure soon. what is pb?i have saw that alot and didnt know what that stands for.

YES i am looking into lapband and i am really scared. looked into it last yr and never moved forward and now here i am again looking into it. i am scared for 2 reasons, well 3. i am scared to be put asleep, scared and dont want to be vomiting all the time and also scared for long term. other than that i think i am all good. i dont know for sure yet how i am going to pay for the procedure because i just started a new job and ins dont kick in til 8-01 but that doesnt meant that they are going to cover me. i dont have good credit and i barely have any credit so i am not sure that i can be financed either. any ideas?

well i have more news..i called cigna and they told me that all wls are excluded unless medically necessary. i think that with me having a BMI of 48-49 that i am hoping will be enough to qualify me for the rny or lapband. i also made my 1st step and made an appt for 12/4 for my consultation.

thanks for the advice. that is one of the main things that scare me alot. also i have never been put to sleep so that scares me also. my hubby and i are not agreeing on surgery so that doesnt help either

hi there! i am glad to know that all is well for u! that is awesome! no i still havent done anything yet! i started to research the vertical sleeve procedure and didnt go all the way through with the process because i ran into alot of financial problems with banks not wanting to finance me. it was such a struggle and i was so upset because i had my date scheduled and all that BUT i decided to wait until i can try and clean my credit up some and then try again....i am again thinkin about the lapband because it is reversible and the vertical sleeve is...so do the fills hurt???
