  1. Hey there, Steph here, wondering if there are any ladies out there looking to swap or get rid of clothes that they no longer fit in. I just got rid of all of my larger clothes to my sister-in-law, and am in need of clothes that actually fit. Until I reach goal, I don't feel investing in a new wardrobe would be financially beneficial. If anyone out there is interested, please feel free to email me: WishUponABand@Live.com I am currently wearing size 20 pants, and probobly large to extra large tops. I've never done this before, so just let me know if you are interested and we can review details via email. Thanks so much! Have a great night! Steph

  3. HELLO ALL! Thanks so much for your help. I believe I have discovered the culprit! My Meds! That last sip of the smoothie I was talking about, I forgot I took my nightly meds with it. This has happened once before, just not so bad, and it was when my meds got stuck. I didn't take them last night, to let myself heal, I still have a bit of tightness from swelling I assume, but I can drink without discomfort now, and even a few bites of solids here and there. I expect to be back to normal by friday or so, if things keep improving. Thank you all for helping me! <3 Steph!
  4. I spoke to the PA, and she said if it's causing enough discomfort where I am thinking about it through the day, I should come in for an unfill. I am just hoping it's swelling so I don't have to get an unfill. I JUST got a fill!
  5. Slippage? NO! :( Same here, after my fill, it was perfect! it's been 11 days and now it's starting? I hope this goes away! Let me know what the Doc says if you don't mind sharing. Message me if you want to talk more Take care and good luck, love! Steph
  6. Hi Mimi, Thank you for the advice. I can do liquids in small sips, I may be tender from my heartburn attack, so I can feel it go through. Thanks again Congrats on your weight loss! and BELOW goal! Awesome Steph
  7. Can anyone help? Has this happened to you? if so what did you do? Had a fill on the 10th, I'm at 4 cc's now, and food, portions and weightloss was going great. Last night I had a Fruity Supreme Protein smoothy from Emerald City Smoothy, and the last sip of it, triggered the worst heartburn attack I have ever had. I've only had heartburn once before, but this was very uncomfortable, and sort of painful! Today, I can't keep food down, and my stomach and/or esophogus is very tender. It feels like even liquid is having a hard time getting through. Is this just swelling and will it go away? I don't want an unfill, but will get one if necessary. Any feedback will be helpful, thanks! Steph
  8. Hello, I am wondering if there is anyone out there willing to share their Dr & Nutritionist documents they've received from their Lap-Band staff? I lost all of my papers and am just starting up again after having my baby. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I had a fill last week and am already down 7 lbs, hopefully I slow down a bit, and get this as my 2nd nature again Take care my fellow Bandsters! Let me know if I can return the favor! Steph
  9. Hello everyone, Brief background: Banded 4/16/2009, 8/1/09 found out we were EXPECTING! (She was a surprise, not planned so close after surgery). 4/24/2010 baby is born. 6/10/2011 first fill after baby. Now, I am trying to get back into the swing of things. Due to the situation I only had 2 fills prior to finding out about the baby, so at this time, I believe I have a total of 4cc's in my band, with relatively good restriction. I find myself hungry every 2-3 hours though, and am wondering if this is too frequant? Since it has been so long, I forgot everything and need to brush up. I am wondering if anyone out there has some good documents that may help with guidelines and meal ideas, and the correct amount to eat at each meal, etc. I am going to do this the right way! Any help is a lot of help! Thanks so much! Also, if I can answer any of your questions you may have, I am open! Thanks a lot and take care! Steph
  10. Hello, I have been banded for two years and have a oneyear old. It was four months post-op before finding out we were expecting. MyDr. told me they encourage women who are trying to have children, to do so at ahealthier weight and/or a year after surgery. My little one, was a surprise:)...the only thing I suggest is getting an un-fill for the band so you areable to eat (once that baby starts getting bigger, she bumps your tummy and youhave 0 room to eat anything.) Also, there will be a good amount of port discomfortas your abdomen stretches towards the last few months of pregnancy, since theport is attached to the abdominal wall. She is probobly curious about weight gain during pregnancy, I maintained the entire time, fluxuating 5 lbs at most. If you or your Wife have any more questions, feel free to message me! Good luck and take care! Stephanie

  12. I have a few questions for anyone who has any input or the answers!! :/ I'm in my 3rd month of pregnancy, I am unable to get down any Proteins without throw it up however, nothing ever comes up, anyone who has the band, and have thrown up before, is this normal? The last time I threw up, all that came up was sort of a mucusy type stuff, it was very confusing. Anyone have any Protein ideas? Thanks for your time, Stephanie
  13. Sounds like you're just searching for the answer you want :tongue2: he he just kidding. I can tell you, that I was banded 4/16/09 and am currently 9 weeks pregnant. It wasn't planned, but the Dr. said all should be fine, I've dropped 60 lbs since January and am at a healthier weight. I'd still talk to your Dr, but mine said all is well. I will need an unfill later in pregnancy though to make sure the baby is getting attequate caloric intake. Good luck!
  14. just keep in mind, I read that when you're preggers you get tighter, a lot of people found out they are pregnant just by the band tightness in the AM (or PM). Hope all is well! No regrets! Good luck
