Never thought I'd be looking like this at 30!
  2. Almost everybody has that same pain I think. Mine went away after about 2 weeks. But I notice that it even a month post op it comes back every once in a while out the blue. Really weird...
  3. My fill was painless as well. However, my experience was really different. I was told to lay flat on the table then to raise both of my legs off the table to tighten my stomach muscles so that she could find the port. Once the needle was inserted in the port, she said that I could relax and lower my legs. Other than the weird feeling of doing a crunch in front of the doctor and nurse, it was easy! Got 2cc worth.
  4. I was banded on May 21st and I was able to get a fill on June 12th.So that was 3 weeks after. Not sure if that is my doctor's norm. She may have taken pity on me because I told my appetite had come back and with a vengeance!
  5. OK guys...I think I have you all beat! My bra size is a whopping 42L! Since I had the surgery last month, I have noticed a small difference. The bra is really loose now. But can't wait till they go down more. I plan on having a reduction and correct any other problem areas after my weight loss levels off. I can't wait to be rid of these puppies-ONCE AND FOR ALL!
  6. OK MsTrina, I'm not gonna lie-I've been slacking! But you have given me the inspiration! I'm going home today and getting on that treadmill! What else are you doing in your workout? I just might have to copy...
  7. Like Dora said, please make sure that you are doing this for yourself and that only you can justify why it is you are doing this. On the other hand, if someone is willing to pay for this, and with youth on your side-I'd go for it. You don't want to be like me at 29 and another 100 lbs. heavier wishing you had gone through with it a long time ago! My surgery was on the May 21st, and my only regret was that I didn't do this some years back. But, I've already lost 14 lbs! And it looks like I'm well on my way to a healthier lifestyle...where I need to be! Good luck girl...and lean on us if you need to!
  8. I'm feeling a little guilty myself! I didn't have a problem with the pre-surgery diet either, but because I'm not a big soup eater this has become tough. I had my surgery on 5/21 also and I'm looking for something to actually crunch on. I'm not that hungry, but just need a different texture in my mouth. That's the only reason I've cheated so far. Not sure what else I can do...other than try again tomorrow....
  9. I was banded on May 21st. I've lost 12 lbs. so far. But I'm hungry too! I'm not gonna lie, I have cheated a time or 2. But mostly because I feel the need to chew on something. I'm kinda tired of sipping on soup. Only another week on liquids though...don't think I can take much longer than that...
  10. I didn't have any nausea either, but I have that same pain and in the same location-left shoulder and neck. Almost like muscle spasms. What's that about? Is this normal?:confused2:
  11. Had my surgery on the 21st and couldn't be happier. I'm so excited to just move on with life!
  12. Whewww...I'm glad I'm not alone! I just had the surgery on 5/21 and I'm having the same feelings. I'm really not that much of a soup eater, and when I do have soup it has a lot of veggies and meat in it. So this has been a little tough. I'm not gonna lie, I've slipped a couple of times. Not because I was hungry, but because I felt the need to have something a little more hearty. So I did puree some things into what resembled a soup. So, I guess I'll do better at the 3-4 week, since I have the puree-ing thing down...lol

This is me before I had the surgery. I'll start adding more, once the weight starts coming off!
