  1. Finally . . . down another 3 lbs. after several days of nothing. I'm now down 23lbs since May 27th.
  2. Hi everyone - I was banded on May 27th and I started walking 3 times a week. However, I don't know if it's my band or my port that I have pain in. Sometimes it feels like somethings pulling away or even rolls down - has anyone experienced that feeling? I'm going to see the doctor tomorrow.
  3. I was banded on the same day and I wish my doctor would give me a fill. However, I'm going to call him tomorrow. I stood up and felt this terrible pull in my stomach and then a sting have you experienced any discomfort?
  4. Are you sure there's no nasty after taste? How many calories does that drink have. I love that amount of protein in them.
  5. Hello everyone that's wonderful that you get full so fast. I've been banded for 11 days and I'm starting not to feel full. I've lost really well but I would say it's discipline. I'm always wanting to eat and I have to tell myself no. I've been on mushies this week and I have found that I'm hungrier than I was on liquids. Any suggestions? How much is everyone eating and one time? :confused2:
  6. Wonderful . . how inspiring! I was banded on May 27th and lost 13 lbs my 1st week. Prior to that I lost 27. . . so I'm down a total of 40lbs as of today! This is great and what's even better I got to start mushies yesterday and I never thought they would taste soooo good. Anythings better than liquid.
  7. I was banded on May 27th and went for my 1st week doctor's appointment and lost 13 lbs. Prior to surgery I lost 27. I'm now down 40 pounds and feeling soooo much better. Hey how do I put a ticker on my sight?

  9. Wow, just when you think you're all alone you realize your not. I'm trying to think of it this way I had days and days of stuffing my mouth and look what its done. Come on everyone out there can you just imagine if we all continue to support each other I know we can make it through this liquid and mushy stage. We'll be so proud of ourselves when these couple of weeks of are over. I just completed week one today but the Doctor said I can not start mushies till tommorrrow . . . I can hardly wait to wake up and have some cream of wheat.
  10. Have you tried EAS Premium Protein from Costco's. That's a powder you can spinkle in to anything you drink. Also someone told me yesterday that Costco has a paste that comes in different flavors in a jar. I'll have to find out alittle more and I'll let you know.
  11. Try Muscle Milk it has 27 grams of protein and TASTE GREAT!!! You can purchase it at Smart and Final. (Lactose Free)
  12. No catheter either - I was banded May 27th in Fresno by Dr. Higa. Great doctor!!!
  13. Hi Suzanne, have you tried the Muscle Milk from Smart and Final? It's very high in protein and it taste wonderful it's also Lactose Free. Calories if I can remember are about 270 but if you're replacing a meal it's great. Flavors are Banana Cream, Strawberry, Chocolate. There's also the flavorings that I was introduced to in my support group by Torani and they're sugar free. (Purchase at Smart and Final Also) You can add them to any protein mix and it makes a world of difference. I was just banded on May 27, 2008, but I did alot of experimenting and attended the support group before surgery a few times. Good Luck. :biggrin2:
  14. My problem right now, and I believe its gas, is that I feel like I have to burp and I get this tightness in my chest but I can't. Within the hour I'll get this terrible pain in my left shoulder that I can't stand. Any suggestions?
  15. Hello . . I am so happy I came across this site. I was banded on May 27 and I'm feeling great!!! Occasionally I get that dreaded pain in my left shoulder but I was told to walk . .walk . . walk and that a heating pad might work . . to my surprise it does. I'll be going back to see my Doctor June 5 . . I can hardly wait. I'm still on clear fluids and starting to feel hungry.
