korpa, How many grams of protein does your doctor have you on?

Chery try not to worry. The doctor knows what Vitamins you need and will give you what they think you need before surgery. When you get to talk to the doctor ask them if the vitamins will have you where you need to be for surgery. I am having trouble with white blood count. Don't know if it is coming from a tooth or sinus infection. Put me on two different antibiotics and have to repeat blood work next week. My surgery is July 16th. Hope all goes well with you. I can relate to the not being able to walk and exercise. My knees are so bad. I can't wait for surgery.

I just got a call today saying that my white blood count was not good. I have a tooth that I have been taking antibiotics for but I also have a sinus infection. How long did it take to clear up the tooth infection? I have not had mine pulled yet and my surgery is July 16th.

Ineedalapband, I was at the doctor today but my license plate does not have a ladybug. Mine is a mirror background with NANA on it. Who is your doctor? Isn't that strange. I was in Slidell and then in Covington. I did seem a little tricky. What time was your appointment?

MicheleK, I don't find any replies to the questions on there. I too would like to know what all I need to have on hand after I get home from surgery. Any information appreciated.

My Surgery is Scheduled for July 16th.

I am seeing Dr. Redmann and it has been a breeze. I attended a seminar first. Then got an appointment with Dr. Redmann at which time he told me what all I needed to do. Take orders to my PCP for blood work and get a referral. My PCP faxed the two papers back to Dr. Redmann and then I got surgery date of July 16th, my Pre-opt appt. date at the hospital for pre-opt and pay the hospital and the anesthesiologist, my appt. for the same day to attend a two hour class for them to tell me what all I will need and then later that day an appt. with Dr. Redmann to sign my consents papers and pay him. All this will be completed on 6/30 and that is it until surgery. Now let me say I am cash pay and that may make some difference. But stay in touch and let us know how everybody else with Dr. Redmann does. Good Luck to all

yettia1031, I am from Amite, 15 minutes North of Hammond. I am being banded July 16th and can't wait. Are you banded? If so who was your doctor? I am going to Surgical Specialists of Louisiana in Covington but they also have an office in Metairie.

Heather, I just renewed my commercial drivers license Thursday. The first time I got one 19 years ago I put my weight of 210. Every time I renew I just say just leave it the same. This time I am having the band next month so I said just leave the same (even though after 19 years I am over 150 more than I was) because I am having the Lap Band and hopefully before four years are up it will be right. Well this time she looked at my physical that we have to provide to renew and put my current weight. So I am stuck for four years even though I am fixing to be banded. So you never know what will work anyway.

BigHarleyguy, why did they tell you it would cost six thousand more than the original price if you was self pay. Self pay is usually one price regardless of how much you have to lose. I am self pay and it did not cost more depending on how much I wanted to lose.

I am going to be banded by the Surgical Specialists of Louisiana. Dr. Redmann is my doctor from this group in Covington, LA also.

I am going to have the Lap Band by Dr. Redmann who is in the same group. Would like to know if anybody knows him too?
