I have done well with the Unjury unflavored protein powder, adding it to kool-aid and jello. I am getting a little tired of chicken broth too! LOL I am starting to add flavored protein drinks and thicker liquids now. So far so good.
Thanks all for your posts. Welcome Bit of a Diva!

Thanks Katt. Actually I have a package of the unflavored that a friend gave me but I was not sure what I was going to do with it. I have been using the chicken soup and the chocolate on my pre-opt diet. Thanks for the tip, I will order the unflavored now that I know.

Thank you so much! Happy Birthday to you. My sister is going with me and her birthday is on the 8th. We will be there for Mother's Day and her birthday.

I am wondering the maximum age to be banded. I have read on several web sites that there is no age limit. I have a friend that might be interested but she thinks she is too old. I would love for her and I to do this together. Anyone out there over 65? Please let me know your experience with any wls.
Thanks so much. Brenda

I have read that some people, especially men need salt. One guy said that he was feeling really bad and he remembered to eat salt and felt much better. Also there are some protein soups out there that are suppose to be really good.

Does anyone have experience with Doctors in Mexico? Has anyone been to Dr. Almanza at Jerusalem Weight Loss in Tijuana, Mexico? Thank you for any help you can give.

The hospital is cold, take a robe of some kind. Their gowns are small, not big enough for me for sure. The rooms are big and very nice and the bathroom and shower are great! There was a sofa and recliner in my room. It was also very clean.
Some of the staff cannot speak or understand English. But when there was an issue, they called someone on the phone to who could speak English.
They may tell you that you cannot get up and walk right away, but it is very important that you walk and I insisted on it and they called the Dr. V to get his permission.
Don't know if you are familiar with ObesityHelp.com but it is a great site for info also.
I was very anxious but all for nothing. I did ask for copies of my lab work and later I asked Sheri to email me surgery info. I found a surgeon not too far from where I live to go to for follow up and Sheri sent me a surgery report. It was brief but at least something for the doctor here to go on.
I went back to the surgeon here today and he says that I am doing great. So far so good! Please send any specific questions that you may have and I will be glad to answer them.
