Last day of pre-op for me ... nothing but Clear Liquids. I had Water water water, 2 - 8 oz. glasses of crystal light, and a cup of sugar free Jello. Surgery tomorrow- can’t sleep sinus congestion 😟.

I've been watching like a hawk not knowing what's happening yet. Today I got authorisation letter....November 29th is DDay

Hey there Bill! Good luck to you also on the liquid diet. I'm on Day 6, and it does get easier....well a little. I just drown the cravings in water!!

I’m ok! My surgery was delayed by about 4 hours. Went in at 4:30pm and was in recovery about 7. Didn’t get to my room until almost midnight. All seemed to go ok, can’t believe I’m online so soon after. Pain was a solid 6 or 7 overnight. This am a PA came in and moved my drain - worst pain ever! I want to smack that dude. They want to bring me in for a GI test before anything else.
Onward and upward!

I started the liquid diet today. I am scheduled for 11/21. Tomorow I have prep blood work and a class at the hospital .

Day 6 and I have me my docs 5lb weight goal, plus more. can i eat? lol joking.....still not bad. I thought the weekend would be tough but so long as I am busy I am good.

November 26th surgery date for my RNY.
Two weeks pre op diet 5 protien shakes a day with 1/2 cup veggies or fruit Snacks in between and 8 oz of Water in between each shake too. Fun Begins the 12th! LOL

Positive changes.
TONS more energy No more back pain No more knee pain Air travel is so much nicer now (no seat belt extenders, and lots more room!) Loads more confidence. So much so that I finally asked for a much deserved raise, and received almost double what I was hoping for. Not everything on guys gets smaller with tons of weight loss, some things get much larger. I've had no relationship changes, I've been married for 14 years, if anything my relationship got STRONGER with this surgery, as I was able to see just how much my carrying this much extra weight affected her as well. I feel closer to her now than before surgery, both physically and emotionally.
Negative
The more weight I lose the more I realize how shallow people are. Folks that didn't make eye contact or give me the time of day are suddenly smiling and making small talk. Especially the opposite gender. That kinda makes you feel like crap at first, but I've come to accept that it's human nature to an extent.

Good luck you guys. You're in for the ride of your life! You will experience so much positive change in the coming months and years!

Hello everybody, i am officially on my 2 week pre-op liquid diet as of yesterday and this is so hard. I did eat a bite-size snickers today. I’m trying to take this one day at a time and not beat myself up about. I’m having the worse Migraine as well, but I’m keeping myself motivated because I’m becoming a little scared.

I just had my gastric bypass surgery done yesterday and everything went good and doing a lot of walking to get rid of this gas.

Yep! I'm on day 7. I just keep crossing each day off and say "I'm one day closer". I have the same diet too! All I know is that after this is over, I never want to even SEE another Propel Water or zero Vitamin water!!! 😆

Day 3 and still pumped. I have a headache but its manageable. I survived day 1 of my job's catered break/lunch.
