  1. I assume most people know about this, but just in case I wanted to tell everyone! There's a prescription vitamin B12 nasal spray called Nascobal, and when you get it from Nutrition Direct, they throw in all the other oral vitamins you need for free. So If your insurance covers the Nascobal, then everything is free. I just got off the phone with them, and my vitamins should be here next week. LOL that I'm so excited about vitamins! Everything that gets me one step closer to WLS I suppose!
  2. Oh No! I have Aetna too! I go back to the Dr in 2 weeks, so I will talk to them about it. Boo!!!
  3. On behalf of people with crazy families everywhere, sometimes it's just easier to tell a fib than it is to deal with the drama! LOL!!!
  4. OK, that's much better than my idea!! LOL!!!
  5. How does the family eat? Sit down at one table together, or buffet style where people find a seat anywhere (couch, living room, dining room, etc)? If it's random seating, super easy to fake it. Put minimal food on plate so looks like you ate some, push it around, etc. If it's more formal dining, where everyone is sitting together, then put a little of this and a little of that on your plate, push it around, etc. People will be concentrating on their own plates and not on yours. Can always tuck some food in a napkin on your lap too. Make a game of it! LOL!!
  6. What did you eat over the weekend to cause the gain? Was it eating out/restaurant food? If so, my guess is that it's all water weight from the sodium in restaurant food. Just eating homemade food for 2 days should eliminate at least 4 of those pounds, if not more!
  7. Good luck!!! Can't wait to make a post like this for myself someday soon! LOL!!
  8. Good luck with the Psych! Like you, I'm good at losing weight, but not so good at keeping it off. Hoping WLS will help me in that regard!!
  9. Oh wow! I'm so sorry! Will losing weight possibly reverse the kidney damage? Sorry for asking, I just don't know anything about how that works. Best of luck to you!
  10. That's great!!! So you will have neck surgery first, then WLS 6 months from now? Best of luck to you!!!
  11. Click on your name on the top right of the screen, and a drop down menu will appear. Then click on tickers to create your ticker. After you create it, it will give you the option to add the ticker to your signature, which will make it appear every time you post!
  12. Thanks for sharing!!! I'm concerned that if I admit to binge eating that the psych will deny me too. Was is the psych that denied you or the insurance company?
  13. Woo Hoo!!! Congratulations!!!! Rest well!!!
  14. Funny that you say this! My mom is the one person I don't want to tell, which is why I'm not telling anyone else. She means well, but man her comments break my heart sometimes.
  15. That's great that you can still have some caffeine! I watch a lot of WLS youtube videos and have seen several people say they mix coffee with their shakes. I'm not a coffee drinker, but am a soda drinker. I'm proud to say I'm on Day 4 of NO SODA!! I'm living on crystal light and powerade zero right now! LOL!!
  16. Sending good vibes!!!! You got this!!!
  17. Love reading this!!! So sweet that your sister was so emotional after seeing how tiny you are!!!
  18. Saw my PCP today, and got my EKG done! One more thing to check off the list! LOL!! I also lost 2 lbs! Baby steps!!
  19. When I did Keto, there was an expression that when you started you got the "Keto Flu" which was getting sick from cutting out all those carbs. They recommended vegetable broth and pickle juice to help get over it!
  20. Woo Hoo!!! Good luck!!! Post again when you feel up to it to let us know how you are doing!!
  21. I feel like people are judgmental no matter how someone loses weight. I've gotten negative responses in the past from doing both Keto, Medifast, and even WW. A few years ago I dropped 75lbs and when people asked me, I just said in a joking manner "I stopped eating! It sucks!" Ha ha!
  22. Your stats are amazing! Thank you for inspiring me!!!
  23. Glad to hear your were able to keep it a secret, and that your husband is supportive of that!! What did you do as far as missing work? Just use vacation time or make up a fake reason for being out? I'm planning on just doing vacation for now!
