    yes. i love that! i follow a guy syatt fitness on instagram. (he curses a lot) but he really breaks down nutrition well and is all about calories, which i think you and i both love. But he is very real about slip ups and all that good stuff. None of us are perfect, and ive found when i really have a craving, a simple Hershey kiss (22cals) with fulfill that craving. I just learned to savor things more and not annihilate them like i did 152 pounds ago!

    I totally get this and do the same thing! ((hugs)) No one is perfect. But by trying for 100% we get way more near that 100% than by keeping a "get out of jail free card" in our back pocket.

    WTG dude! I'll have to check him out.
    I am totally at the end of the day about calories and macros and mixing things up enough to have metabolic flexibility!
    For me cravings aren't so simple. Some things I could do that with...stop at 1 Hershey's Kiss. But, other things are much harder (oh I'm talkin bout you Mr. Pringles and you Lay's Potato chips and you Adriatic Pizza!) LOL. So you have to know yourself.

    lol its funny you brought this up! you are not alone. i definitely had a little melt down yesterday lol. i was just overwhelmed and had to leave where i was because the food has just been too much, and im getting near my end for goal and i just think every calorie counts right now. im not gonna lie and say i dont grab a mini reese cup or hersey kiss every one in a while, but im really trying right now to hit it hard. so i totally get how you are feeling, luckily everyone in my office knows and i have 2 work moms who keep an eye on me which i asked them to. but i feel your pain and im with you. holiday is almost over and then i go to disney january 4th. lol. im not catching a break until after that.

    Crap! No way! I gotta have it STAT! I love bananas and cream Premier Protein so I bet this is gonna be even better. I'm asking for a carton of the chocolate and a carton of the strawberry banana from Santa! But I don't do the milkshake version cuz too many carbs and cals. I do the plain chocolate one that has 170cals and 26g Protein and like 7g net carbs?

    Just feeling amazing..
    For all those countries that use the metric system this is a huge huge milestone;
    50 kilograms gone; that's like the weight of my niece
    That's a massive achievement which translates to 110lbs gone for good
    Had to share with all my friends!!

    Hang in there! I am also 7 months out and able to eat a lot more now - but I have really upped my exercise and that has helped.
    The other thing that you can try now that you can get in enough nutrition is Intermittant Fasting. It is a very powerful too. It helps control your caloric intake, but also lowers your insulin secretion which promotes fat burning. Several ways to do it.
    1) Limit the hours you eat in a day to a specific number, Many do a 16:8, which means fasting 16 hour and doing all your eating (normal healthy foods and amounts) in an 8 hour window. Other so 18:6 or even 20:4. Basically you skip a morning Breakfast and eat say, from noon to 6 or 8 pm. That's it. You can tweak the times any way you like. After a couple of days, it becomes very easy. Changing the TIMING of the food can be just as effective as the TYPE of food you eat.
    2) 5:2. This is where you eat normally for 5 days a week, and choose 2 days to eat only 500 calories. Some also do ADIF (alternate day intermittant fasting) which is where you eat normally every other day, alternating with maybe 500 cal on the other days. This really helped my break a stall and plunge down to my goal weight.
    3) Longer fasts. Some do a 24 hour fast each week. Basically you eat dinner and then skip breakfast and lunch the next day. Not hard, actually. You can also advance to a 48 - 72 hour fast once a month or so. A little harder, but very do able and really helps you understand what true hunger feels like and that the sensation is quite transient and passes quickly. Really helps with impulsive eating.
    These are all tools you can use and pull out at any time to take yourself to a new level or break a stall. They are very effective and studies are showing some pretty amazing health benefits, especially with longevity/prevention of fraility, mental acuity/prevention of senility, inflammation, cancer treatments, and immune system health. Fasting helps the body rid itself of senescent cells (the "zombie" cells) - cells that get old, but won't die and take over other cells, reset metabolism, and burn off fat by depleting the muscles and liver of glycogen which causes the body to then turn to fat stores.

    Hey all! I was wondering how all my October 2019 people are doing? I'm ok. I pinched a nerve in my neck, so I can't go hard on the exercise, like I'm dying to do, but I'm down 40 lbs since my October 28th surgery, so hey, I'm happy. I've almost lost 100 lbs since I started dieting on my own in July (less than 10 lbs to go). I'm a different person and it's amazing.

    I had this same question and asked my nutritionist about it and my personal trainer and they both gave me the dirtiest look and in so many words said "bmi is f-ing stupid."

    Im 236 and still "obese" lol ill take being an obese 236 all day.
