How easy is it to get addicted to that f****** scale???? I swear, mine is in my closet, and every time I go to get something to wear its just staring at me with this evil glare going 'you KNOW you want to step on me' ahhhhhhhhhh!!! I have forced myself to only get on once a week, and I try to do measurements once a month. Its a battle isn't it, when your fat, when you lose, when your losing..and everywhere in between...(btw, can you tell I'm catching up on your blogs today?? ha ha)

Mother daughter relationships can be so complex. I love my mom, but she can be sort of a know it all sometimes. I'm independent, she wants me to be more dependent I think (like my younger sis) The main thing you have to do is take care of yourself first..I hope things get better for you girl, hang in there!!

I've done the par-tay thing several (ok maybe a little more than several) times since surgery, and I have no issues whatsoever. I can't drink nearly as much, in terms of quantity, but what I do drink is satisfying and I maintain a nice buzz like a bee...lol

Yay for you! What part of La are you from? I'm from around the Lake Charles area!

Tiff...I'm glad I'm not the only one! I never thought I was vain, but I, too, am all about what will make me look younger...planning a consult with an anesthetician...bo tox me baby...lmao...I guess I am getting what I asked for, but before, I never realized aside from the 'health' benefits what that was, harsh reality no doubt.
ToonTown- Guess we all learn as we go. I am learning things I really don't want to, but such it is and I've always been resilient that way. But I'm not going down without a fight, i.e. wrinkles, flab, sag...I'll fight you to the death!! lmao...
thanks everyone for your kind words and comments, really means alot to me!

I'd be happy with another 20-30 pounds. I decided I'm just going to follow the rules so to speak and just just see where it gets me, thanks for the encouragement Linda!!

It is so easy to get obsessed with the numbers isn't it? You are so awesome. Its a great thing isn't it, to really feel good about how you are, who you are...I think I will always be watchful of those numbers, but they won't rule my life like they have in the past. I rule my life now, great post and as always, great inspiration!!

DeeDee, I think each and every one of us are the hardest on ourselves. I was going to blog about this very same issue! I wore a bikini, yes a bikini when I was over 200#, and I thought, well this isn't THAT bad (wrong!) but the point is, its getting to know the new you. We all have to familiarize ourselves with our new body-good and bad. You look fabulous by the way!!

Tiff-my pets are my life. We had a Catahoula Curr Dog who was a member of our family as well...rushing to meet us, licking us to death. She was mauled by another dog, and didn't make it. My daughters couldn't bear to see her buried, so me and my fiance buried her in the backyard. My dad made a headstone. I'll keep you in my prayers, remember, everything happens for a reason, even though we don't understand it.

Girl so glad your feeling better...I had my gall bladder removed years ago...I'd been having attacks for a year before I finally got it out. Glad your doing well!

Thanks yall! I got so many complements on how I looked that night!! Yay me!

I haven't had a chance to wish you a speedy recovery! I can so relate to feeling frustrated about not being able to be 100% or work out. You are a strong person and you'll get through it girl..chin up!!

aHOMEgal, we're not trying to scare...lol...I know for me, info from how others were doing at various stages helped and inspired me. Its not that I don't still LOVE to cook, its just that at this time (and I'm sure it will pass) I'm not getting the pleasure out of it that I used to because I'm literally NEVER hungry. I think it will pass as I've read, and I'll find my 'normal' soon...

Yes its the hole where the port was removed, and I had the Allergan band. They gave me Bactrim antibiotic (1 per day for 10 days) I am completely healed after about 3 weeks of packing, no complications whatsoever. Good Luck and let me know if you have any other questions!!

Now your getting me thinking...although I have to say I am guilty of 'lurking' too...before I started posting. Is your thought that random people that have nothing to do with WLS are lurking?

Good for you girl. I don't smoke, but my friend did quit on Zyban. My sister though, (a pack plus per day smoker for 20 + years) Was able to quit with Chantix. She still struggles but it is so do-able. Good Luck girl, we're rootin for ya!!

Tiff, its really crazy sometimes I guess, I'm learning everyday things I could eat before that ain't happening now. Take for instance last night, a nice cup of dark hot chocolate...milk has never bothered me, I was thinking since the mix had milk in it also then I combined it with milk, just too much..I made my little path to the bathroom all evening...lesson learned!
