2ndTimeFreedom got a reaction from ARMoma45 in 7 months post OP and feel like I can eat so much more.
Thank you so much for posting this forever diet. I had my one month follow up visit today and was given a similar diet. I am a measurer and needed to have an amount to help me. My more significant struggle right now is my silly allergy to exercise. I have a genuine hate/love relationship with the gym — one day at a time.

#1-it's none of their business and you can be vague that you're having minor abdominal surgery.
#2-privacy laws are in place so that you don't HAVE to tell them what your personal medical condition is or what procedure you're having. So, again, you are not obligated to tell them anything aside from the fact that you are under medical treatment for a personal/private condition.
If you feel you must say something because that's the kind of culture/environment you work in (say, these guys are your "buddies" and you feel bad about being obtuse), I would recommend saying you're having hernia repair. Rationale: unless you've already had your gallbladder out, you wouldn't want your deception to become obvious if/when you have to have your gallbladder out "again".

I told people i was doing a medically supervised weight loss program. Which is kind of true haha. I basically told them my actual diet but that it was a nutritionist and doctor supervised program, not a surgery. Works on all fronts so far.

((hugs)) You are right on time for the "Sophomore Slump". Come join us in the Sophomores thread! Honestly, it's a tough time. And your tool is maturing allowing less restriction. It's part of why it's so important not to believe the myth of restriction/malabsorption. At some point, everything in moderation will have a different meaning volumetrically and that could be enough to either derail losses entirely, cause stalls, or rebound weight gain.
    The things that helped me:
    1. Planning, weighing, measuring and logging my food daily--good and bad
    2. Following my surgeon's basic guidelines for the forever-diet including the 1cup max per meal; 3 meals + 1-2 VERY small Snacks a day if necessary, Protein first then veg then fruit and a tiny bit of fat.
    3. Mixing things up to make them fun again--I added IF/EF to my plan.
    4. Find fun peeps to hang out with who have shared goals/paths.

    Hope that helps!

You will do amazing! Apparently, I also had GERD (although) it never bothered me. Sending you prayers and well wishes.

My revision is scheduled for 9/12. Not only do I have gerd, I only lost 1/2 my excess weight with the sleeve. So I am really looking forward to a 2nd chance at getting the rest of the weight off.

I had rny gastric bypass in 2001. Went from 516 to 175. Then I started gaining again. Old habits are hard to break. Cokes and pizza. Now Im scheduled for revision on 8/23/19. I feel so ashamed. Back to 400 lbs. This time I need to follow the rules instead of finding ways around them.

2ndTimeFreedom got a reaction from PrincessCharming in One Week - Hardly Any Shed lbs but Happy
Hello Everyone - I am one-week post-op today, and I am now only 2 pounds lighter than I was last week. That is ok with me, and I am so happy I had the "tune-up" surgery. I do need to wear an abdominal binder getting on and out of bed. I return to work this week and zero pain. I am hopeful and positive that the weight will continue to come off. During my Pre-Op liquid diet, I shed 25 lbs, so I am feeling good about that. I have broken my weight goals into 35-pound goals. I am 27 pounds from target 1.

Surgery is now 5 days away. I am down 20lbs with the Pre-Op liquid diet. I finished all my hospital pre-surgical testing & paid my ($750 deductible & $250 copay yesterday ). Four more days of this liquid diet and one day of Clear Liquids and then off to surgery I go. It appears I will have a 1-night hospital stay and then I am gone. What a process this has been!!!! The only thing I am truly feeling sad about is not picking up my baby for 1 month That she will not understand (2 years old) but as long as I can have someone hand her to me I will be ok (I pray).
Sending everyone strength and prayers!!! I am getting myself mentally ready for the 4 weeks of eating post-surgery.

I am headed in for my revision surgery today. I am not sure the DS was offered to me. Instead, he is going to reduce my pouch and my stoma size. Ia m so looking forward to being in your boat with progressive weight loss after. It is great to hear you have zero complications after. How long was your revision surgery?

So I went back to work one-week post-op. I had my first business lunch today and ordered Brazino and was able to eat 1/2 of the filet (3 ounces) and just asked for the rest to go. I was so stuffed and felt I was actively engaging in conversation, and I looked around me, and the others had cleared their entire plates or fish, spinach, and veggies.!!!! I was super proud of myself. I had green tea before the start of the meal and didn't drink the rest of the meeting. This was such a massive concern for me as I have so many eating situations. Hello Everyone-- This is my story!!!! I was 398 lbs and had gastric bypass RNY on 11/30/2009. I lost 200lbs. I had a baby in March 2017 and gained weight with the pregnancy and have been struggling to return to my pre-pregnancy weight of 213.
My surgeon will reduce my pouch (stretched 3 times it's the surgical size) and reduce my stoma (also stretched). My surgery is on July 15th. I am doing a 3-week liquid diet to get ready.

yes, all the patients (revision or traditional RNY or even gastric sleeve) are discharged on stage 2 diets (soft mushy). Prior to leaving the hospital, we all received tuna salad. This stage for us also includes soft white fish.

My insurance was charged in the vicinity of $40,000 which included a hiatal hernia repair. I was responsible for $300 of it.
