    I’m down 86 lbs since surgery. This weekend my husband and I travelled to the LA area. We’ve walked at least 8 miles each day while here. I have NO pain in my feet, legs, and back. No way I could have done this a year ago. Plus, as an extra bonus, I had room to spare with my seatbelt on the plane and no fear of not fitting on the rides at Six Flags and Disneyland :)

    I keep a Premier Protein bar in my purse just for emergencies. They’re too high in carbs and calories to fit in my plan regularly.

    I find better options on the appetizer menu. Kids menus are usually fried junk. Steak tips or prawn cocktail are my favorite high Protein items commonly found on the appetizer menu.

    Once I progressed to regular foods my surgeon said a couple *small* sips during meals is fine. I might have 2-3 sips during my meal.

    RN here. There is a wide spectrum of “normal” as far as sexuality goes. As long as you and your wife are both happy, you are fine. Things will probably taper down a bit over time when the newness wears off.

    It gets better! I’ll be three months out on Tuesday. I’m down 61 lbs as if this morning. I gone from size 22 or 24 pants to 18, and just bought my first two pairs of 16’s that should fit in another week or two. Down from 2x tops to L or XL in the regular women’s section. My stamina has increased, I’m hiking regularly and will run my first 5K on Thanksgiving day. I sleep better and am seeing my sleep doc next month to hopefully get rid of my cpap. I’m off all meds except my Vitamins. I can eat all foods (but chose to follow my team’s dietary recommendations). I’m not hungry. IT DOES GET BETTER!!! Hang in there and reach out to your team for support.

    So here's one: this morning I turned around in the shower and found Mr. had opened the shower door and was just standing there watching me. I didn't even flinch. I just said "Hey", and proceeded to put conditioner in my hair.
    Before I lost all this weight, I would have tried to frantically cover myself and then yell for him to get out. Actually, I probably would have locked the door so he wouldn't have been able to get in the bathroom at all.
    It's so nice to be completely comfortable in one's own body.

    You don’t mention your Fluid intake. Dizzy + racing heart may mean dehydration. Are you getting in at least 64oz of fluid per day? At this point your hydration status is more important than food. If you can’t keep fluids down you may need IV hydration. You should call the surgeon’s office 1st thing tomorrow morning, don’t wait until Tuesday.

    The advice of the NUT at my program is super simple. More Protein than carbs. They want me at about 80g protein per day right now, so less than that in carbs. I’m 3 months out and honestly have to have most of my intake be protein if I want to get in 80g because of my restriction, so most days I’m at 30g or less of carbs. Most of that is green veggies, with a few berries here and there and the occasional bite of potatoes or rice.
