Gotta say pain isn’t as bad as I thought it would be! ??

Finally awake enough... Dr said surgery couldn’t have been more perfect when he talked to my fiancé. I Haven’t seen him yet. Slept most of the day... lots of morphine PCA which is helpful. Just got up tonpee for the first time, wasn’t too awful. Because of my csections I had more scar tissue so he had to do a 6th incision. I had RNY. Keeping fluids down. Drank 2oz in the last hour.

I am a nurse at the hospital I am having surgery at so lots of familiar faces today. T-minus 1 hour!

Guys! It’s the day!!! Surgery this morning. 730am checkin eastern time! I’m a ball of nerves but so excited to restart my life. My bag is (almost) packed. CHG wipes, done! Bowel prep, done! Shaved the legs cause it’s gonna be awhile lol...patch is on the way! Oh and I have my future hubby by my side... AND.... I TOLD MY MOM!!! I was so nervous to tell her and she told me, she supports me no matter what and she was happy I am trying to feel better in all ways. That makes going into this, so much better. ALSO: why when I must be npo after midnight am I extremely thirsty... I can’t wait to start drinking again! Even if it’s an ounce at a time ?

I got 2.5 liters in. It says to stop when clear and no solids. No solids but not clear... I can’t imagine that it will ever be “clear”

Thank you so much! This stuff is awful! It says drink 8oz every 10 minutes. Im more like a glass every 20...Having the hardest time with it. I am sure this is the least of my worries but it is still tough!

I am currently drinking this bowel prep. I was prescribed the Peg 3350, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Bicarb & Potassium Chloride solution. It is 4 Liters, but the directions say most only need 3 Liters before the BMs are clear water without solids. Anyone had experience with this? I am at 1.5 liters and am having a hard time getting anything else in >.<

I can not believe my day is tomorrow. This prep sucks. I have the PEG 3350 sodium chorlide, sodium bicarb and potassium chloride. It is 4L but the packet says I need to take in at least 3L. Guys, I am at 1.5 liters and am gagging!! I cant wait to be done with this prep so I can have a darn popsicle! lol

What insurance stuff are you speaking of, “just in case.”

I will! Tomorrow is the prep.. not excited about that at all ? But so so close! Has anyone not told their parents? I feel a huge burden like I should tell my mom..but a part of me knows she is going to judge, and I don't really feel like having negative feelings going into it. Just feels like I am lying though..especially knowing I am going to be in the hospital for a couple days..

Y'all, I am one week out from surgery! I have been on the liquid diet with one meal/day for the last week. Doing ok with it so far! I got my CHG wipes and my Bowel Prep. It is getting real!

I can’t quote from my phone, but my diet is the same. 2 shakes and a sensible dinner with 4/6oz of meat. Can also have a third shake if needed at night but haven’t done that yet. Also having one serving of dairy a day, and I gave up caffeine ?. I definitely am not as tired today on day 4 as I was on day 1!

Anyone else on preop diet now? I’m doing the liver shrink diet... my doc said 1-2 weeks, so I chose two weeks...

Anyone July 2nd ?? It’s getting close!

July 2 here! Super excited, little nervous! Preop appt scheduled for next Friday the 21rst! It’s getting real!

Hi everyone! I am scheduled to have the RNY on 7/2 woooohooooo! Problem (but not so problem): I am getting married on October 18th! I have no idea how I should plan to buy my wedding dress. I am currently a bridal size 18 or 20 depending on fit. Any one have any kind of experience with this. I know they say to buy a corset dress, but literally have not found one I like. I am considering more of a rustic/romantic style lace dress. Any suggestions?? Thanks!!!
