  1. My bypass is scheduled for June 19th, I meet with the surgeon May 2nd then do preop testing June 3rd!!!! Only 63 days!!!
  2. Very nice to meet you!!! My tentative date is June 19th. I'm hoping someone cancels so I can get moved up but I'm not complaining! I can wait 63 days
  3. Well a lot of my wait has been dealing with the insurance I had and changing insurance. I had my heart set on the sleeve but they said I need the bypass. I'm happy with either honestly. I just hope I have my surgery before summer gets into full swing because Arkansas summer is God awful.

  5. I adore the Pumpkins! I love Bats so I love your name too Haha I'm hoping for beginning of June at the latest but we shall see. I've been on this journey since July of last year and it's been HELL but it's going to be so worth it. What surgery are you having love?
  6. So I didnt see a June thread and wanted to make one so we could all stay accountable and have a lot of good and bad experiences together!!! Introducing myself: My name is Kassandra, I am 27 years young, I have 3 great kids, a wonderful hubby, and 3 great cats. I'm a type 2 diabetic & have sleep apnea. I decided to do this to take my life back. I'm 5 ft 2 and 258 lbs. I had planned for the sleeve but my insurance won't cover it right now so RNY it is! *also posted on bypass board*
  7. So I didnt see a June thread and wanted to make one so we could all stay accountable and have a lot of good and bad experiences together!!! Introducing myself: My name is Kassandra, I am 27 years young, I have 3 great kids (9 yr old & 5yr old little boys & a 2 year old little girl), a wonderful hubby, and 3 great cats. I'm a type 2 diabetic & have sleep apnea. I decided to do this to take my life back because I do NOT want my kids to lose me so young. I'm 5 ft 2 and 258 lbs. I was 293 last summer then I started to make small changes to get ready for surgery. I had planned for the sleeve but my insurance won't cover it right now so RNY it is!!!
  8. Do you have an idea of when your surgery might be yet? My nurse said I'll probably be late may or early june.
  9. I think that's when they will give me a date is at the last office visit. I know they'll want fresh bloodwork because they are vampires and love to bleed me dry lmao. I'm so excited. 75 lbs?! Holy crap congrats love!
  10. I'm so nervous lol. I have done everything done but the ekg and I know they will want new bloodwork to double check my A1C.
  11. I LOVE this post. I'm pre OP as well and was curious what kind of cups everyone was using. I'll have to invest in some of these cups. I think I'm going to end up starting my preop diet early to try to maximize weight loss and shrink my liver as much as possible.
  12. I have sleep apnea and am on a CPAP. Hopefully that eliminates one test lol.
  13. So I wanted to pick your brains. I just got approved for surgery and am currently waiting on my date. In the meantime I don't want to drive my nurses nuts with so many questions. I was dead set on having the sleeve but I have to have RNY now. For all of you kind people: 1) How hard is it to take pills post-OP? I'm concerned about the size of vitamins. 2) after approval, what all did you have to do test wise? I know all drs are different but just curious. 3) what can I expect my life to be life after surgery? I have 3 wonderful kids and a great husband but I need to prepare for the good, the bad, and the ugly lmao.
  14. How exciting!!!! I'm so ready to have my date. Cant come soon enough lol
  15. I will!! I'll be sure to keep checking on you too. Which surgery are you having love? Btw if you have Instagram my name is kassyyy13
  16. Hey love!!! I got approved last week. Carrie just emailed me! Are you having the bypass or the sleeve? I'm doing bypass and I'm nervous. I wonder what last tests we will have to do before we have surgery....
  17. Omg congrats love!!! I just found out I got approved last week. Just waiting on the coordinator to call me with a date and the rest of my last second appts.
  18. I emailed my nurse earlier today to touch base with her to see if she submitted to insurance yet. I havent heard anything though. I'm hoping that it's been submitted.
  19. You are my mr miyagi lol. I finally quit bugging poor carrie and realized it will happen if it's meant to
  20. I've been finished for weeks but their office is super behind. I'm terrible at waiting lmao. I hope I can hang in there for a few more weeks lol. I think insurance does this to see if we really want it.
  21. I guess they put us through this to see if we can handle it lol. I hate waiting. I have the patience of a toddler sometimes lol. Especially when I'm excited.
