I am seeing my surgeon on 6/17 and still have not decided between bypass or lap band surgery. It seems everyone who chose the lap band is throwing up, sliming or feeling uncomforatble. I need to loose about 100 pounds. Any thoughts?

I have an appt with Dr. Fielding on 6/17. How was your experience? Did you have to spend the night in the hospital? I still havent decided between lap band and bypass which is why I would like to hear anything you have to say about your surgery...I'm 57 and want to lose the weight quickly..

I have Aetna also....I had to do the 6 month diet and I had to have a recorded history of obesity for 2 years. The history can come from any doctor ie. OB/GYN or a combination of doctors that combined show that you have a total of 2 years of recorded obesity from an MD.

How much weight did you lose from the removal of skin?

Hi, I did not lose any weight during my 6 month pre-surgery diet plan...in fact I gained a bit.....Will I have a probelm getting insurance approval because of this? Has this happend to anyone? Leslee
