Stay the course and stick to the plan. It will be difficult at first but remember you are one step closer to surgery day.
    Good luck.

I am 49 years old and my dietitian told me it's from hormonal changes. I am getting a lot, they are popping up by my hairline, lips, eyebrows pretty much all over my face and they hurt when I touch them.

It seems like your hormones are readjusting and could be normal. Check in with your psychiatrist as she might be best to assess what you are going through.
    Wishing you the best.

I took the basic, toiletries, charger and change of clothes. I took gas X strips but never used them since I had no discomfort from gas like a lot of people mentioned here. Some people wear the same clothes home. For the most part I was in and out of sleep after the surgery.

I am so sorry you had to experience this kind of treatment at a time when you are at a vulnerable state. I had to help my son inject blood thinner and it is a very stressful and delicate process. Please report her, because she may cause another patient harm. Clearly she brought her bias to the workplace which is unfortunate and unacceptable.
    Wishing you the best.

Agree with you @Dabeyhive and in some cultures people are taught to be respectful to people in authority and in some cases people are just not confrontational and do not know how to deal or handle conflicts.

Yes I had my surgery done on April 29th and I feel amazing. I had no complications and went back to work one week after. I've lost 22lbs since surgery and 38 since I begin the process in October. Make sure you follow all of your requirements and before you know it surgery day will arrive.
My advice to you is never measure your weight loss sucess or journey with those of others.

I understand where you are at. I’m scheduled for 10/1 and have been riding the teeter totter the last month or so. One day I feel surgery is right, the next day I’m in doubt. I know that surgery “is” the right decision. However, I do think doubt is part of a healthy decision making process. I have only discussed my surgery with my husband. Keeping your decision private may be the best thing for you.

I haven't told anyone about my WLS and I'm six months post-op. If someone mention that I look like I've lost weight and asks about it, I just say, "Diet and exercise" (which is TRUE!). I don't like most food at all. I never have. My weight was mostly due to eating tons of Cookies and chocolate. I like very few foods. So now I mostly drink Protein Shakes and eat deli ham and cheese most days.

Have you tried calling the insurance company to see what the process is and what the estimated cost will be. You can get the procedure code from the surgeons office. If you normally pay a co-payment when you visit the doctor most likely they will apply, and if you need to reach a deductible the insurance company will be able to provide you with that information. When I went to my first appointment, my surgeon's office gave me a list of all the requirement needed by my insurance.
    Good luck with your journey.

Congratulations on your journey as it seems you are already off to a good start. Don't worry about making your journey public as many of us here have chosen to keep our decision personal. Like you I don't eat cottage cheese or seafood but I find yogurt and different types of bean Soups work for me. Don't stack up on to many food because your taste and craving will change after the surgery. Many also depend on Protein Shakes and powder as a good source of Protein post-op.
Wishing you the best on your journey!

2.5 weeks what food progression are you on? Are you hitting your 60-80 grams of Protein per day? Is fruit salad on your plan? If is,, How many ounces are allowed? Should you make a full meal out of fruit salad when it has no protein count???

Welcome, and don't feel bad about the relationship not working out. I see it as his own insecurities and not yours. Men are going to like you for who you are and the qualities you bring to a relationship and if they don't that's there lost. Take your time and the right person will come along.
