  1. I am so sorry that you are having a hard time with your protein. I have not had my surgery yet but from what l have read from others here, it seems normal and the important thing is to try to get as much water in as possible to avoid dehydration. It looks like you are getting in some water. Hang in there and thanks for posting your experience so far and hope someone answer your question shortly.
  2. I have Aetna, and on the form to be filled out by my PCP the weight history was crossed out. I was confused because the first one I was given had the weight history, but they gave me a second copy with the history crossed out. I know that there are different types of insurance plans base on the one each company offer to their employees. But please double check to make sure.
  3. Hi Shanda, Can you post the name of your insurance company. Maybe there are members here who can offer suggestions when dealing your insurance company. Also do you have any history of gym membership or weight loss program such as weight Watchers, Jenny Craig etc. that can be used as weight loss history. I know it will work out for you. Susie
  4. They will be my grab and go after surgery to save time. I will try the power when its appropriate to add some leafy greens, and nut butters.
  5. Great job, keep up the good work. The difference in before and after is amazing so far.
  6. Ahh sorry to hear. Hopefully it goes time around.
  7. I bought the Premier Protein shakes chocolate flavor as it is the only flavor of shakes I drink. I like them. My shopping list from my bariatric teams recommended few others. If I do not like them after my surgery, my children will drink them since they like protein shakes.
  8. Tell people who you are comfortable with. For me the guessing game will be at work but they know I am the diet guru. I will just tell them that i started to go back to the supervise weight loss program where at some point i lost a lot of weight.
  9. Congratulations Sharon!! Mine is also on the 29th. I start my fasting on the 17th 2 protein shake, 2 snacks and a small meal of protein, vegetable or salad. On the 10th and 11th day clear liquid only. My surgery is scheduled for 6:am.
  10. Wow congratulations, you look amazing and thank you for being here to share your experience and advice. We appreciate it.
  11. I agree walking is a great way to start your exercise journey. There are also a lot of short you tube workout videos. My doctor told me even if it is a quick 10 minutes a day can be quite beneficially. My 9 yr old daughter and I jump rope at home. Just find something that you can stick to and you will be OK.
  12. I am glad to to hear that you are doing better. What you shared will help many who are going through the same things. I am 49 years old and so far the only thing I am experiencing is late periods. Stay positive and I wish you many bright days ahead and a successful future.
  13. Angie I hope you are doing much better and wishing you better days ahead.

  17. Finally got my surgery date of April 29th. They told me if there is a cancellation they will move up the date, nonetheless I am happy. I already have all of my final appointments set up before surgery, meeting with anesthesia, consent form, blood work and nutritionist visit. I was also given the pre-op diet plan which will be 12 days long. (Oh boy)☺️. I am having the sleeve, my doctor and I went over everything again. Good luck to everyone!!!
  18. Thank you Proudgrammy. I also meant to say that by boyfriend does not eat fast food.
  19. Azhiker you are doing great keep up the good work. I will post an update on Wednesday. RNY or sleeve I will be moving on with one. I like to exercise and will be maximizing my weight loss with either one. Thanks again for your encouragement.
  20. My boyfriend is 6'2" and weights 180lbs. He eats only when he is hungry and does eat fast food. He works for FedEx so he is quite active. My boys are 21, and 23, daughter 9 and they are all skinny. I've always been health conscious but often fell off the wagon. My heavest is 260lbs and lowest 145lb
