Thinking about food all the time
Yes hot jello. Just skip putting it in the fridge. It's a soothing drink when not feeling well...

Pre-order for Blood work, urinalysis and xrays
Pre-order for Blood work, urinalysis and xrays were requested by my doctor today since I have xtra surgeries. My dang fibromyalgia with stress knots and all the meds along with hiatal hernia. So I get to Drive an hour in and an hour back. Then do it again at 6am Friday morning. Argghhh... Trying not to stress much.. still trying to figure out how the heck im going to get my daily meds down. Eight pills, eeekkk... hoping my surgery eliminates five of them at least. Does anyone use patch vitamins. Thinking of trying them for the first month so I don't have more pills to add. I take a chewable now. Well, gotta go take meds and try and rest.

Thinking about food all the time
If your pre op...Today I felt that way off and on. Drank Crystal light, broth, and decaf coffee to help fill me up and a hot sugar free jello... they are so good. I love an apple drink from Walmart it is like Crystal light and I freeze it enough its slushy.

Soda.
Ivy, my brother drinks coke icee's but you can't go crazy they have sugar... I suggest you try freezing a diet coke and eat it with s spoon.

Under 3 weeks left....nervous
I did gain over holiday as well. My date is Friday and my only pre op is not gaining weight. So today I had broth most of the day then got dinner i had Turkey salad. Tomorrow I go in to get my pre blood work and an xray for my hiatal hernia repair and urinalysis. Praying I dropped the extra pounds from the past few days at weigh in Friday. Working on issues from emotional eating as well... I keep telling myself fear is not an option. I need my health back...

Making a Bariatric Pal Order: Any "Must Try" Products?
Beans have a lot of protein as well as cottage cheese and eggs. There are a lot of videos on YouTube with what people make to eat.

Dying for soda
My brother gets coke icee's when he craves soda. No carbonation... but you have to be one with will power to not do it every day as they have a lot of sugar. He has done well with them. Maybe freeze one in a cup and eat it.

Dose of Reality!!! Please do your Research!
Love this direct approach and honesty. I waited 4 years to finally go through it this week. Part of me was fighting the fear, the other not wanting to deal with things and the later part of me saying well it will help just do it... It's great you all are here to bring reality to life... Ok tomorrow broth, broth and broth... yummy...

Eight weeks post-op and 60 pounds pics
60 pounds is alot... but if your getting your vitamins and protein and water in it should be fine. I was told we all lose at different levels. I have pcos and fibromyalgia along with hiatal hernia and these can make a great difference. I'm 2 days out for having surgery and starting to run that oh boy thoughts. But after hearing how well your loss is... yippee

Friday is coming up fast... oh boy...yikes
Hope it gets better. My likes are really high for foods so it may be good if I don't like a lot of foods. But for health hope it's not the foods that are better for us post op...

Friday is coming up fast... oh boy...yikes
The items I got are for pre op. I wanted to try and stay on a clean liquid as much as I can Wednesday and Thursday even though I have no pre op diet...

Check out Dr Arnold . Has been in a couple of recent magazines for awards in surgery style and success long term. I was lucky my insurance covered under him. I have also been told he is the best one from many other in hospitals and nursing... He is out of Abrazo Scottsdale campus. Bell rd and 38th street.

Friday is coming up fast... oh boy...yikes
Ok, My doctor has no pre OP only requirements is stay same weight or lose if possible. So after Tuesday night I am going to try and stick to liquids the best I can. I know I heard everyone talking about how much Better it is for the liver and surgery. I'm still freaking out and that makes me want a eat. I guess this will change after surgery... anyone else go through it too? Four days, 4 argghhh... I was ready months ago Now I'm doing the what if's... I'm so glad everyone is here for support. I bought pho broth for pre op for my liquid as well as chicken and sugar free apple drink, jello and protein drinks...I really hope I can stick to it. I would feel better knowing I did it for a better surgery.

Having surgery on 28th of December
Me too! I was told about two to three weeks before any light work. But it really depends on your body and its recovering ability I'm sure. I'm praying your surgery is great and recovery will be fast...

Five... yes 5 more days!!! ?

Getting nervous and starting to freak out
I think that way too. But I also forgave myself for not taking care of myself more. I have had to deal with PCOS and fibromyalgia both. It's hard with either of them but I could have done more. That's all past... let's look ahead to what we can do from here on...

Getting nervous and starting to freak out
Your right about the caffeine. I drink 2 to 3 cups of coffee per day and sometimes tea. I cut tea to herbal caffeine free. My coffee is still at 2 or 3 a day. Body aches are my life as is with my fibromyalgia. Did you stop caffeine all at once?

Getting nervous and starting to freak out
Good. I thought I was crazy feeling scared yet excited. I'm hoping to use my drinks from Avon and vitamins. May even ask my doctor to review the nail and hair supplements.. I don't want to lose my hair.

Getting nervous and starting to freak out
Thanks for all the support. I am planning on taking a photo or 2 and unfortunately I'm fibromyalgia maxed out. Which puts me in for little exercises. But, I am trying very hard to do what I can. The doctors are thinking this will help me tremendously with all my pain. Is it me or was anyone else excited and scared at the same time!!!

Getting nervous and starting to freak out
funny thing to feel so scared and nervous after waiting so long to finally have the surgery... I could have done this 4 years ago.. I don't have a pre-op diet. But it makes sense to do a few days of liquid to make the liver shrink. My date is December 28th. So after Christmas Day I will do 2 days for cleansing...
