  1. Wish I had looked a little more before posting.....answered my own question. I saw a posting on Maintenance after I posted this. A lot of my questions answered.
  2. How do you know when you’re in Maintenance? For example...if you hit your goal weight but your body keeps losing weight is it not maintenance? Is it only maintenance when you stop losing weight for a while...and if so how long is considered a while?
  3. Yum!! Love watermelon and haven’t ever seen it cut this way!! I haven’t had much luck on watermelon lately. Not very red or sweet inside. How do y’all all pick yours out? I was told to knock on it and get one w the biggest white/yellow spot on it-bc supposedly that means it sat ripening more
  4. I weigh myself everyday too. I feel like it helps me keep myself in check...seeing it go up or seeing it go down. I don’t think there is anything wrong w doing that everyday. We all want to keep the weight off so I think if that helps do that then I’m going to weigh everyday. ?
  5. Thank you and yes I do!! Always thought I’d never get to my goal until I had this surgery. I’m still a work in progress. Daily challenges and reminding myself that this is a marathon not a sprint and that keeping these new lifestyle habits
  6. My sleeve was 7/23/18 Started at 231 now I’m 138!!! Goal is 135!!!
  7. My husband and I always split a meal. We order sides that are usually low carb-broccoli green beans-) now a days the way restaurants make plates splitting is the most sensible thing and we still have tons Of left overs.
  8. You look awesome!!
  9. I’m 44 had the sleeve 10 mos ago with no complications. I didn’t have any previous stomach or abdominal surgery. Like others said..ck w your dr on the foreseeable complications for you as everyone is different. For me it was smooth recovery and I’m very happy. I’m 5 1/2 pounds from my goal!! Starting weight 231 and currently I’m 140.8. Goal is 135. Good luck to you on whatever you decide is best for you on your WL journey.
  10. Not feel like everyone is looking how much and what I order bc of my size. Love that I can control myself when eating now. Easier to make better choices and when I don’t make a good choice not binging on what ever food it is.
  11. I have to admit I haven’t went to my NUT but two times since surgery.
  12. So do y’all measure 1/2 cup veg and protien combined?
  13. I’m sorry they were like that to you.
  14. You called telling them you were feeling sick and they told you to see a mental health professional? That would have made me feel bad as well. Maybe you just had a big bc you’re feeling better now right?
  15. So meat and veg together keep to a 1/2 cup? Just want clarification
  16. True... I need to start measuring it out.
  17. I’ve noticed recently that I am able to eat more than I was before. I had one occasion where I ate too much and got sick in the past but other than that I have eaten small, below the size portions that I should (bc I stop as soon as I feel anything). Is this normal? I have had a huge fear since surgery of screwing this up. I know I haven’t overeaten over and over to screw it up but how is it I’m able to eat more? I am still losing. Slowly but surely. Goal Dr set was 145. My goal is 135. Started st 231 Pre op-221 Current weight-143 I am very happy with the weight loss. I just want it to stay off.
  18. You look amazing!! What a great accomplishment!!!
  19. Is this sold at the regular type grocery stores? Or was it a specialty store?
  20. I hardly peed in the beginning too bc I couldn’t get enough in. Just keep taking small sips frequently
  21. I use women’s one a day (store brand), calcium supplements, biotin, b-12 The Biotin has helped a lot with my hair
  22. Depends on each person. I felt great and could have gone back right away except that I lift up things at my job so I took two weeks off to be safe. Recovery for me was smooth.
  23. You can do it! Keep your eye on the prize!?
  24. Did you drink caffeine or Diet Coke before surgery? Maybe withdrawals from that?
