  1. Congrats! Let us know how you did!
  2. I agree with the others who have posted responses. Avoid carbs like pasta and bread. Use this honeymoon period of not being “hungry” to eat lean proteins. Did your surgeon or Dietician give you a plan with foods to stick with and foods to avoid after surgery?
  3. I imagine there are vegetarian people who have weight loss surgery. I wonder if it’s harder getting all the protein you need being a vegetarian? I don’t know but if he curious to know. Meat is much heavier so I know I don’t eat the amount I need.
  4. Brooks Ghost sneakers all the way!!! Light weight, great arch support (I do put extra added support inside bc I have low arches). Feel like your walking on a cloud.
  5. That’s awesome!! Mine have faded but the one where they pulled the stomach portion they took out is still hard and you can still see it.
  6. I’m ten months out and have lost 83lbs. I’m 13 pounds to goal!!
  7. I don’t see any of your trocar incisions either!!
  8. Wow!! You look great!! I want and need my boobs done too!! You’re here in Houston right? Your stomach/body looks so tone...mine is very loose looking but I think that had a whole lot to do with my not getting enough protien in and losing a ton of muscle along w my fat. Trying to lift weights in the gym and get it back—the muscle that is lol not the fat!!
  9. I’m curious. How did you find out about that? I would like to get some info too
  10. Another Texan!! I am too! I’m south of Houston!!
  11. I live just south of Houston. Curious who are you using?
  12. Girl I’m 44 and I’m def getting a lift and some implants!! You’re not too old!!
  13. Thanks for the kind words...like someone else said..once you have felt it you def don’t want that again!
  14. Think you’re right that Chinese is just too fattening. I didn’t get dumping...although that would have been better than the nausea that I felt.
  15. I did not wash it down. I never drink before, during or after eating (30 min after) I always eat slow and as soon as a feeling comes I stop. Last night was a bad combination of my being hungry and eating too fast and distracted with talking. I’ll def not let that happen again. That feeling was HORRIBLE. I’ll def remember that feeling as to not do that again.
  16. Don’t...enjoy that everything went right!?
  17. I agree. Lesson learned. I am just kicking myself because since my surgery I have really worked at eating slow and never over eating. Tonight I got caught up talking and was eating dinner a lot later so I was hungry. All hit me like a ton of bricks. ????
  18. Doom and gloom feeling about what? The surgery that went well? Or are you feeling like you’re waiting for something to go wrong?
  19. Omg y’all. Tonight my husband and I sat down for dinner. We shared an order of general tso. I ate two bites of egg roll, two balls of chicken and prob a 1 1/2 tbls spoon of rice. Number one, poor choice in a high fat dinner, was hungry so ate too fast and ate too much apparently. Suddenly I felt this sudden nausea hit me hard!! Feels terrible and like the food comes all the way up to my throat. I am 10 mos out and haven’t over ate before....guess this is what it feels like?!! Omg horrible. How long til this goes away?!!! I have not thrown up but feel nauseous.
  20. Yes mine was super smooth!! Only thing I had was gas pain but that disappeared and was expected. Recovery was very easy but I also didn’t have any previous surgeries in the past. I will be a year end of July. Glad your surgery and recovery went well!!
  21. Omg yes!!! I miss an entire patch sometimes!!!
  22. Oh I have another!! Just had my well woman and I wasn’t afraid to pop on that scale!!!
  23. I have to say crossing my legs easily. Before I had to hold them together uncomfortably and they just lay over eachother now. I love seeing my bones in my neckline(clavicle) and this May sound gross but I like it that I can feel my whole spine!! Loose skin is ugh but I can totally get over that. My girls are like deflated water balloons but my goal is to get to my goal and keep it off for a solid year and then gift myself a boob lift and new boobs. I am 12 pounds from goal!!!
  24. Move as much as you can. It will help get the gas out. Congrats on your surgery!
