  1. Keep up the good work that the sleeve allows us to do.
  2. You are not alone. Binge Eating Disorder is a real thing. You might want to consider counseling prior to your WLS to get a jumpstart on dealing with the mental issues before the medical ones. Hang in there. It's a real thing.
  3. Family are the hardest to deal with and often don't accept us as we are. WLS is NOT the easy way out and you are not a bad person for having weight issues. Good luck on your WLS journey.
  4. It was a simple small mistake. You'll be fine.
  5. Sounds like a good plan
  6. That's not nearly enough calories. Drink some protein shakes.
  7. Fairlife are good. I use both their chocolate and vanilla. Sip slowly, don't gulp or put too much protein on your stomach too fast. Otherwise you shouldn't have any side effects.
  8. I'm sorry you're going through this for so long. You'll get varied responses here. I never had any pain and never took any of the pain medication. But others, obviously, have. It probably is "normal" like your surgeon said and if you need a pain pill, take one. It shouldn't be too terribly much longer before it settles down, like at the 4 week mark.
  9. I think it's only natural to question why we can't "do this on our own" at various times in our lives and even during pre-op WLS appointments. Only you know the answer to that question.
  10. Thanks for checking in and letting us know how you're doing. I'm glad you gutted through to Day 4 and no longer have the buyer's remorse. It just takes time. Good luck on your WLS journey.
  11. Sip, sip, sip, room temperature beverages. That might help.
  12. It depends on what type of job you have. A desk job would be easier to go back to work sooner than a physically demanding factory line job. For the most part you'll feel fine, just tired maybe for the first part of a week.
  13. It's a WONderful feeling when you hit ONEderland. Congratulations!!!!
  14. I'm glad you're recovering well. Keep us posted on your progress with the revision.
  15. The sweet spot is the first six months you don't have too much of an appetite. That gives you time to deal with head hunger and eating from boredom, stress, etc. After 6 months you'll regain your appetite but hopefully by then will have learned coping skills and alternate strategies to keep from eating.
  16. Good luck on your surgery today and let us know how you're doing. There are plenty of useful and helpful threads and forums here to guide you along your WLS journey.
  17. Glad you're coming along well and had a good visit with the dietician. Wishing you continued success on your WLS journey.
  18. Just the walking. Glad to hear your procedure went well. Welcome to these forums. You'll find tons of information on every topic imaginable along your WLS journey.
  19. That's bizarre. I'm glad you're okay and back to normal weight now.
  20. The weight loss slows down as you reach your goal. Are you still watching what you eat and sticking to mainly protein? Are you still tracking what you eat? Watching portion sizes?
  21. Yes, my GERD is completely gone since sleeve surgery.
  22. The tube from the anesthesia? Just overall weak from having major surgery? Ask your surgeon's office just to be sure.
  23. I was eating "regular" food at a month, but I didn't turn back to eating junk food, pastas, and bad foods that made me fat in the first place. I just ate REAL food.
  24. I wonder why the soft chews wouldn't work? I take them. But I'm a sleever.
