  1. So sorry you're in pain. I've not heard of robotic gastric sleeve surgery. I had laparoscopic sleeve done and it went flawlessly. Get better soon!
  2. My surgeon recommended 60 g of protein daily starting right away post-surgery and continuing.
  3. I go to the gym about 4-5 times a week doing 30 minutes cardio and 15 minutes of strength training. I don't know if it affects the weight loss or numbers on the scale, but it's toning my skin and making me feel better.
  4. I'm comparing a cruise photo of me 4 months ago (a month pre-op) to now and can tell a big difference even at 25 pounds lost. I felt more confident in a bathing suit this time.
  5. I use GNC Lean shakes, premade and they're very smooth and tasty. I also drank a lot of Gatorade Zero, sugar-free peach iced tea, and sugar-free popsicles during the liquid phase.
  6. I guess you could, but it'll be uncomfortable as you'll be putting too much into your stomach at one time.
  7. The only thing I wished I'd known beforehand was about the Week 3/4 stall so it wouldn't have freaked me out.
  8. I didn't do all water, but a combination of water, gatorade zero, and sugar-free popsicles, getting about the same amount in total as you
  9. I asked my surgeon about them and she told me not to bother with them but instead just stick with soft chew vitamins
  10. Stick to walking like on the treadmill or riding a stationary bike for now. It's too early to lift weights or use resistance machines.
  11. Mine does too, makes gurgling noises.
  12. I stay between 2-4 oz otherwise I get "the foamies" or feel nauseous or something.
  13. Oh my gosh, that's a LOT! Congrats! You're doing great!
  14. I'm so excited! I'm about 12 weeks post-op gastric sleeve and I was worried about my pre-planned two week cruise and how I would manage to eat and stay on the right track. I was so good! I didn't eat a single dessert or pasta or pizza. I had a cheese omelette every morning for breakfast, salmon for dinner every night and various things for lunch but all making good choices. I just got back late last night and weighed this morning and I lost 2.5 pounds during my two-week cruise! Hooray! I exercised in the pool every morning and did lots of walking and stayed hydrated. I'm just so excited that I made good choices around all that ton of food on the cruise ship and still ended up losing weight! Hooray! Yippee! Here's a photo of me from the cruise - I've lost 25 pounds since surgery 12/11/18.
  15. I hear ya! I was doing so well completely avoiding them and then I "treated" myself to a semi-health protein based chocolate bar but that just opened the door back up to snacking. I'm going cold-turkey no sweets again!!!
  16. Oh that's a shame. It seems like they'd count your already completed 3 months of classes as long as they were consecutive without gaps. I had to wait an extra 3 months because my insurance was changing and I didn't have time to get six months of supervised medical weight loss management under my prior policy and my new policy didn't require it.
  17. No, I couldn't tell, I just followed directions and my liver wasn't too large on the day of surgery and everything was fine.
  18. I'm expecting my mother-in-law to ask me that at some point and I'm going to deny, deny, deny. It's nobody's business and what a rude question to ask!
  19. No, I was on liquids three weeks post-op before going to soft mushy foods.
  20. It'll be over before you know it. Hang in there and be patient. We've all been there and we've survived. ?
  21. When I was on liquids post-op I was getting in about 500-600 calories/day. I was drinking Gatorade Zero, GNC Lean Protein Shakes, sugar-free popsicles, sugar-free pudding, diet iced tea, and water.
  22. My only suggestion would be to have a lot of protein chips, protein chocolate and other semi-healthy "comfort foods" to turn to when your stress is at its peak. Take care.
  23. I haven't told anyone other than my spouse. It's nobody's business and I don't need the judgment of why I couldn't have had more willpower to do it myself or the constant staring to see if I'm losing enough weight quickly enough. There are TONS of health benefits from having WLS, so don't worry about having to justify it to yourself. Take care.
