  1. My surgeon never said anything about caffeine, so I would think it's okay. Sounds good.
  2. Yep, it's normal. It freaked me out the first time it did it because I knew I couldn't have possibly gained weight.
  3. I just finally got out of a 5 week stall and no matter how much I tried to "embrace" it I was still freaking out worried that I wasn't going to lose any more weight and was getting "behind" in pursuit of my goal. But my husband kept telling me, "it'll come off when it comes off and there's no deadline." So, stalls suck but our bodies have to adjust so we have to let them happen. Good luck.
  4. Glad to hear it! I didn't have any pain, problems or complications either. It's a life changer!
  5. Yes, absolutely normal. It'll get better. Take care.
  6. I wonder why this would start all of a sudden? Do you maybe have a cold or an allergy or something?
  7. Plus your emotions play havoc with you after surgery. I promise it gets better.
  8. Yes nuts are okay, peanuts, almonds, cashews . . .
  9. No meds post-op? Hmmm. I know they told me no NSAIDS because of potential ulcers. I'd be a little afraid of the sugar in the honey. What about an over-the-counter throat spray instead?
  10. I've not had a problem at all with energy since having the sleeve 5 months ago. In fact, I might even have more energy now that I've lost some weight and I go to the gym and/or walk 5-6 days a week.
  11. I had GERD and Acid Reflux for 7 years before sleeve surgery. Now it's completely gone!
  12. OMG! I'm so happy I could dance down the street naked! I FINALLY made it to Onederland today, 5 months post-op sleeve. I've been stuck in a stall for five weeks, teasing me at 202 and so close but so stuck and I thought I was never going to lose another ounce for a minute or two. But now I'm finally a LOSER! Yay! So excited! Now I feel like the scale will keep moving and it can go down to meet my goal. So glad to be in the 100's again!
  13. I didn't know about this, but I don't have cable. Maybe I can do something streaming with YouTube on my TV. You gave me an idea!
  14. Amen, sister! I pray every day for God to let me to continue to lose weight and be healthy and I thank him for getting me through surgery with no complications.
  15. But you want to make sure your heart is okay for surgery, so be careful and get another EKG and see a cardiologist and get checked out.
  16. There are a lot of veterans here several years post-goal who are still maintaining and doing great. I hope to be one of them in the future.
  17. It's a good feeling, isn't it? Congrats!
  18. Have some patience as it'll take time to process your paperwork, get pre-op tests, get primary doctor and/or specialist clearances, and get insurance approval. Good luck!
  19. Oh my word that's a lot of pills to take every day!
  20. There's no fat in pickles, so probably not a problem, but please try to stick to your liquid diet pre-op to best protect you for surgery.
  21. Good luck with your WLS journey.
  22. Well sure, you're human. A lot of it, though, is "head hunger" and not stomach hunger, so try to watch out for the difference. It's tricky. The surgery helps the hunger be less demanding, but it's still going to be there.
  23. I don't know about bypass, but for sleeve we were allowed half a cup (4 oz)
