I'm in bypass land! Had it December 26th and losing!

The gas was AWFUL! When it finally started passing, it was wonderful and I thought if this is any indication of the rest of my journey, I'm totally game! ?

Best wishes! I'm feeling the same. I had initially wanted the sleeve, but couldn't due to a to large hiatal hernia. Have to do bypass, instead. Ugh!

How do I look to see?

Is anyone else having bypass surgery tomorrow, December 26th? Just wondering if I'm all alone here or if there is a twin out there! If so, let me know! ?

Consider also that some people are less than honest simply for reactions of others. I'd take what he's says with a grin of salt. Either way, he's got some unrecognized mental issues that will continue to plague him until he faces them. This just may not be his time, if ever. Some just seen incapable of deep and honest retrospection.

I agree. I sure wish I could have the sleeve.

The sleeve is not good for anyone with a hiatus hernia or GERD.

Did you have an edoscopy before getting the sleeve and, if so, what were the findings?

I agree, too. The sleeve may be disaster for you.

My surgeon just switched me this week from sleeve to bypass because my endoscopy results were a 4cm hiatal hernia and Grade 1 esophagitis. From what you're saying is your exam, you should not be a sleeve candidate, either. Your esophagitis has moved on to Barrett's esophagus which puts you at a greater risk. I didn't wait to hear from my surgeon after my endoscopy. I emailed them with my results and asked. I'd encourage you to reach out, too.
