Me, too! I love the way I look and to whom I am becoming at 60, especially in contrast to my previous 40 - 50's self. Given all the dream girls and their bodies aside (of course, it is wonderful to have a worthy dose of inspiration)... As long as it does not cloud our judgment, vision and body image that we are in fact each beautiful starlets in our own right. There will always be flaws and more to find if I seek to look for them. Of course, my bat wing arm shows through my left sleeve velvet sweater! But how many times will I be posing like that? And, I have yet to begin a toning program. I am okay with imperfect. I remind my clients perfection is neurotic but we will pursue excellence. I believe my all or nothing mindset in the past helped to fuel my obesity. I will not re-engage or jeopardize how far I have come. I hope you won't either? And, having been a professional model during college and grad school - models from the agency were starving, mean, unhappy, insecure and miserable souls. My heart bleed for them. Their beauty was truly only skin deep. Beauty to me is an internal temperature that will radiate hot or cold on the exterior. Wow, I Celebrate all our unknown and yet to be discovered movie stars here on our threads. What an honor to express our fears, disappointments, frustrations, as well as our dreams, hopes and triumphs, too.

Well bad news bears, deflate gate happened overnight as I lost 4 more lbs of Water weight and as the swelling subsided my newly lauded hips disappeared. Back to square one

I think they are both awesome. In my own humble opinion, clothes (or lack of them) doesn't define class. The way one treats others unlike themselves does.

I’m on a bit of an emotional struggle bus, so I went with clothes that are comfy and just make me happy. I do have a meeting with my executive director, so I wore my fancy corduroy overalls instead of my denim ones 😂

Today is my 1 year surgiversery! Down 110 - 113 pounds! So happy with my new life and all the new adventures. I will try to figure out how to post a picture.

You have been such an inspiration to me and others here. Congratulations, and thanks for being such a prominent member of this community!

I wish I had known how many foods my stomach wouldn't tolerate anymore and that food wouldn't be fun, just fuel, going forward.

Same here...and probably true for most of us! I avoided getting photographed when I was fat and only kept the most flattering shots. As a result, I have no photos now to truly show how far I have come....although I guess the most important thing is that I know.

I wish I would’ve had more mutual hobbies with friends other than eating and drinking out before this process.
Your life takes such a 180 when it’s no longer food-centric and I’ve missed a lot of times with friends this year bc they can’t exactly figure out how I fit in anymore.
We are all still trying to figure it out, but the social life WILL take a big hit and I’m learning that it’s just unavoidable and that eventually things will get back on track.

I wish I’d taken more before photos.
I literally would run and hide anytime there was a photo op and therefore I don’t have a single HW snapshot.
The only thing I’ve got is a photo where my sister ambushed me on Christmas Eve 2018, which was after I’d lost some pre-surgery weight and I was already 20 pounds down from my HW.


As painful as it was to see those photos at the time, I regret that I don’t have a anything really as a point of reference.

The timing will depend both on when I can get the funds saved, and how much time I will need off, which will ultimately depend on which procedure I choose.

It’s almost impossible to take any time off in the winter months, but with LOA I could probably swing it.
Fingers crossed that I’ll be able to have it done early January 2021.
Lots of floaters are looking for hours, bc nobody wants to take vacay in January so I’m betting I’d have an easier time asking for time off then.

I wish I could tell you it will all be okay, but chances are it will not.

That being said, I would still choose this 100 out of 100 times.

I’m saving for face plastics and will follow through on that at least.
At the end of the day I can wear longer shorts and tops that cover the shar-pei skin on my butt, thighs, and abs (not sure how my arms escaped looking drapey, but they look okay for my age) , but my face is pretty much out there for anyone to see and it’s looking older by the month.

I don’t want anything radical like a nose job, or cheek implants.... I just wanna get the loose skin tidied up and to have a jawline again.

Okay so I’ll join in.
I never, ever realized that losing this much weight would make me look like half my face melted into my neck.

The one thing I had going for me pre WLS, was my tight skin around my jawline and i actually enjoyed having a round face.

Now I see this very long face with hanging jowels that slides into a turkey neck.

Not a good look and it makes me look waaaaaasy older than my husband who is 7 yrs older than me.
