  1. Agree with elcee if there's even 10% chance it will return I would go with bypass to be safest
  2. That's why I record my tv shows to ffwd the adverts lol
  3. So what made you decide sleeve over the bypass just curious being that you're 5ft8 and 319 your bmi will be over 40
  4. Woo got a few ppl here now anyone else looking at 30th Sep? RNY
  5. Hey guys I'm curious how many people post surgery still take protein shakes daily even months after their surgery?? I know the emphasis is on getting high protein and water so I'm curious if it would be fine to live off protein shakes long term say with one evening meal as I'm pretty busy during the day time and would rather pack protein shakes which are high protein Low carbs. I'm getting closer to surgery everyday so getting a little anxious. Thank you
  6. It mostly boils down to the effort put in and the way the tool is used.. If it is abused then nothing will work..
  7. I've been told mine will most likely be 2-3 protein shakes a day with a cup of veges if needed..
  8. Well there's tons of protein in plants and vegetables like spinach and kale and tofu
  9. Good luck hope it goes well but there are many ppl now having to revise from sleeve to bypass
  10. My issue is energy drinks like red bull, rockstar & mother... Will be a change to remove them will probably start to clear my cupboards out the month leading up to surgery which will include a Preop protein shake diet!
  11. 5ft7 166 I think personally you could get to 150 my sister is 5ft10 and 150lbs and slim.
  12. Yep that's my goal to get under 200
  13. You'll have to deal with stalls and plateaus often
  14. Find someone else I think he is making excuses he is not confident in the bypass...
  15. Sorry to hear you when through so much trouble in my mind I think RNY bypass is more restrictive and has better long term numbers
  16. Invest in protein powder that way you can make your own shakes. Add it to things like yoghurt. Add it to water.
  17. Try to find the best alternatives when eating out. Ask the waiter what's in the meal they may be able to change it to suit you. Going to friends pack your own food or take a shake with you to fill you up so you don't need to eat much
  18. I've got plenty of bulk protein I love it but I'm used to the flavors of protein
  19. Getting closer everyday my mind is kind of set on RNY but been seeing some good numbers I vsg lately... Thought I'd ask first hand how people recovered after surgery? Did your hunger go away? Was there much restriction? What are people losing say 6 month post op? I think VSG is less invasioe and easier recovery?? Tnx
