  1. Overall the bypass rny is the best for many reasons you can find on here but it is up top the individual. Good Luck
  2. Just wish to say you seem to have everything down pat. Great attitude! Is it possible to get a little more detail? What was your pre-op weight, how long did it take to lose all your weight and how much did you lose? Was it consistent losses every month or all over the place? I'm going for RNY but you seem to have everything in order so you are an inspiration!
  3. @jennigurl23 it depends on a few things, your BMI how much weight you need to lose? But most will tell you the RNY is more effective, more restrictive, it changes your metabolism and your internal gastric system... Most studies will show RNY better overall loss and better management of type 2diabetes... But you will need to be on more vitamins than sleeve.. but it also helps with reflux or gerd...
  4. I'm in Adelaide and I go to many shops to find the lowest carbs and sugar protein powders I can and if you look you can find anywhere from 0.6g to 6.5g sugar per serve!
  5. From ALDI; onset nutrition. 30g per serve. Protein 23.2g Fat 1.1g Carbs 3.1 Sugars 0.6 1kg powder $30 Whey proteins and whey peptides natural vanilla or chocolate flavour. Chocolate or Vanilla
  6. I see all those issues as positive.. having to eat smaller and slower and puree for longer that's what I'm looking for I'll be staying on liquids and puree long as I can when time comes! I love protein shakes..
  7. Enjoy it while you can.. it will slow down at some point
  8. Now whose being mean... Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Thank you.
  9. No sorry was just making an observation..
  10. So your sleeve was so good yet you still need BYPASS.. That's my point exactly, you had no issues and still need bypass... That's why I'm helping people make the right choices rather than put their body through 2 surgeries and we all know the revision is never as good as a first operation... But I wish you luck
  11. That's great I need to lose 130/140 and some of these ppl are doing that in like 6-9 months I'll be happy to follow that giving myself 12 months
  12. That's my goal 135lbs that's impressive
  13. Yes you can get small air tight containers for protein powders and also for small meals
  14. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DtAM_LHV1HW8&ved=2ahUKEwiro-jVpZPiAhVKMY8KHdK-B0QQFjASegQIAhAB&usg=AOvVaw21NrQGTXu5-O-tZL2Fp9bX
  15. THEN WHY THE FK waste money and possibly cause problem with your surgery if you say you don't need it? Why would you do anything to hinder your progress? You may as well open your wallet and set it alight or at least donate the money to charity? Good luck
  16. Hey are you permanently wheelchair bound? 5'3 would be good weight 120? There's many factors involved in the decision. Age, mobility, medical issues, either sleeve or bypass is good..
  17. Cigarettes contain many known chemicals and poisons so they affect every organ in the body so of course it will hurt your new stomach....
  18. You'll be surprised most scales differ in results different companies, different calibration. You can put 3 different scales in front of you and they can be different. The worst is when Dr weighs in the afternoon ?
  19. Do you suffer from no hunger? Do you get full to easily?
  20. Pretty sure first month is liquids then purees next not real food yet
  21. Keep positive X think of the future
  22. Yep your body just cleansing
  23. I know a girl who was 17 when she had VSG surgery... Don't think it's very common at teenage though..
  24. Same as you I chose bypass as it's the best and more aggressive and was unable to get DS
  25. That's great I really hope it has the same affect on me. If I could eat very little my life would be much easier. Main reason ppl get fat is because they feel the need to eat constantly...
