I started at 314. By the time I went through my 6 month classes and preop diet, I had surgery at 275. I’m currently 196 lbs and 9 months out. Idk if my experience was much different than my friend who started at 225 or another friend who started at 285. I think it largely depends on your body and lifestyle post surgery.

For some reason I stopped pooping when I stopped drinking my shakes. I’m on soft foods and manage to get in 30-50g of proteins a day but still no poop?

Super slow loser. Lost a little under 4 lbs in week one.

I am 9 days post op. When did you all start your vitamins?

It’s so interesting how different surgeons are with their requirements! My pre op is completely different than friends who had it earlier this year. I wonder how surgeons choose what diets they require. What was yours?

Surgeon twins! I actually came in here looking for more info on our surgeons required pre-op diet. What all does it consist of? Shakes and bars, or can you have a healthy meal?

Back with an update. It was submitted Weds the 19th of June and approved this morning!

My surgeon is submitting on Jun 13 so I am curious about other's experiences and how long it took for anthem to approve or deny them. Thanks!

I have Anthem BCBS. When did you get your surgery date? Was if after your 6 month program was finished and insurance approved you? Or were you able to schedule it before the approval (contingent on approval of course).
