She prescribed those yesterday. I will pick them up on the way to the ER. I cannot tolerate anything with protein in it. Just the thought of the clear juice style drinks makes me dry heave.

Im actually heading to the hospital for some IV fluids this afternoon. The hard thing is I am away as a camp nurse halfway across the country so my provider can't really do much. But the plan is to start IV TPN (IV nutrition) when I get back.

So I am almost 5 weeks post sleeve and I am nauseous all the time. I can only tolerate clear liquids still and maybe a spoon or two of yogurt a day. I am getting no protein and no other nutrients really. I have tried every med for nausea known to man and even a sea band. Nothing helps. Has anyone had this experience this far out? I am beginning to worry and now really regret this surgery.

I had the vsg 6/27. The first 3 days I was in excruciating pain. By far the most painful surgery I have had. Everyone talks about the gas pain but it was way more than just gas. I could barely get any fluids down. But I am happy to say that day 4 I started to feel so much better and now I feel back to normal. I have lost 13 lbs since surgery.

Ive tried the "flavorless" protein powder as well with no luck. Luckily I had my first post-op appointment today and the NP has finally approved me to add ready made protein shakes to my clear liquids. 3 more days and then I can have full liquids.

Thanks for the advice everyone! Ive tried Protein2O and a dozen other like it at just can't stomach it. They all make me nauseous. I think I will go to the store and buy some protein shakes. Starting to feel a little weak and lightheaded.

Hi, So I had my surgery 6/27. My doctor has me on clear liquids for 2 weeks. I am finally able to drink 64 ounces of liquid but I despise the taste of the clear protein drinks. So I am not taking in any protein. Anyone have this issue? I'm tempted to start full liquids without his consent so I can get some protein and nutrients.

So I am nearing my surgery date, 6/27. I am wondering what others are buying, have bought, or wish they bought to start their WLS journey. I have seen some products for measuring food and small dishes, etc.

I'm getting sleeved on 6/27, it's so exciting.

Hi, Im having surgery June 27th. I am so excited to have the surgery but I admit this 3 week liver shrink diet is killing me. I have cheated a couple times but Im committed to finishing strong. One more week to go!
