  1. I'm 2 weeks post op still on liquids no dumping but obviously only on liquids so BM runny lol No issues with water or shakes goals.
  2. What was starting weight. How much protein Are you getting.. How many calories.. How much water...
  3. You might have an issue with lactose.. In that case look for natural protein or pea protein or even whey isolate i think...
  4. Protein is very important..not only does it help your body heal it also helps build muscle and not let your body turn to skin and bones not to mention the added amino acids in most decent protein.. And vitamins are taken daily because you will struggle to get enough from food early on... I've been taking chewable multivitamin I got from the hospital since day 3..feeling good now 2 weeks out... I also disagree with choosing to only follow what rules you like..this surgery is hard on the body and I don't see why you would get surgery Just to sabotage yourself by heading down the slippery slope of cheating.... Everybody says oh I'll only have one cheat meal.. One turns into 2 and into 5...then you'll complain in 6 months why didn't I lose much????
  5. You will need to be on liquids post op as well I'm day 14 post op still on shakes and water everyday. Did try a little yoghurt but taking it slowly gotta give your pouch time to heal and adjust... (RNY)
  6. My BM just liquid sorry TMI (well like dark green) kinda like a babys first time i guess since technically our stomach is brand new with RNY lol
  7. Good morning everyone. Its late here in Australia but today (it's just turned Monday) I'll be 2 weeks post op! 14lbs since surgery; 80lbs since started my diet. I've been keeping track of everything and I'm feeling fine. Drinking water and shakes without any issues. HW 322 CW 242 GW 190 THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT
  8. That's crazy man well done I've got myself a couple small dumbbells with 20kgs of Individual weights to try... I've never ever lifted before but I know it will help with my arm flab loose skin well I hope so!!
  9. Is your surgeon or doctor going to do a new surgery?
  10. As been mentioned 100 times before you are most likely still full of gas and bloated from surgery and stomach still healing... Wait a few weeks weigh again please.
  11. Yeah doing fine now.. no issues with water or protein
  12. I got loose fitting pj pants and track pants once they let me out of the gown...
  13. I hear you I've been home 5.5 days so far I'll be 2 weeks post op in 2 days trying to rest as much as possible
  14. Start by removing the bad foods and temptation from your house because I'm sure most insurances require some kind of weight loss before surgery?
  15. Much rather 5x 1 inch scars over a massive long one..
  16. Yes I believe there is usually other factors as to why the wls didn't work....
  17. Do what you want don't let them push you into their up selling tactics...
  18. 2 years that's commitment
  19. 3 weeks you might want to start slow don't push yourself too much. I know I'm not meant to lift anything over like 10lbs until 4 weeks so I'm taking it very easily right now 2 days from 2 weeks post op
  20. Just felt like a little texture so had some yoghurt only a few days from day 14 where I can move to stage 2 if I like, but I am on shakes right now it's weird sometimes I feel hungry other times I'm not; so it's just getting used to this post op life and dealing with these feelings each day. you might be right, it may take weeks before I notice any major restrictions...
  21. Pretty much since day 5 I've been drinking water and shakes without any real issues at all.... I obviously drink less than pre surgery and smaller mouthfuls but still no problems meeting all my protein and water goals.. 11 days post tried some yoghurt high protein YOPRO again didn't feel any physical restrictions inside or while eating it.. My stomach does like to make noises and rumbles at odd times but not feeling much at the moment. I am allowed to transition into soft stuff stage 2 on day 14 that's why I got the yoghurt very soft and tasty.. Is it possible my stomach is still healing and maybe the physical restriction will come later on?? I just spent months reading about people with the RNY having all kinds of restrictions not being able to drink much at all and struggling to eat even 1oz of food.... I haven't noticed anything like that.... I know I had surgery and got the holes to prove it just expected more restriction from early on.. 11 days post op and I'm down 11lbs I just hope it keeps going and losing well maybe I'm an anomaly?? Just some days I wonder did I have surgery lols
