Bundle of nerves
No nausea or anything here but bypass
-
What percent of your stomach do they take out?
Bypass they technically do not remove your stomach except create a pouch like 1oz-2oz size by stapling sutures to create that separation. I think it works out to be roughly 1/10th of the size but don't quote me on that... The sleeve VSG is the one where they remove 80+% of stomach leaving 20% vs 10% in the BYPASS. But then again different surgeons use different techniques so it's best to discuss with your specific surgeon. Hope that makes sense. Also the BYPASS is more about the bypass of the intestines than just the size of the stomach there's plenty of research material out there.

Insurance and body lift ... IT'S A JOKE
Yeah here in Australia it's near impossible to get any skin surgery of any kind unless in urgent medical necessity like life threatening otherwise insurance calls it plastic surgery.... I'm lucky I'm young and only need to lose around 120lbs so should be fine

One month post op RNY update!!
Hey there. Officially one month Post op from surgery. Feeling great. No issues at all. Still mostly on shakes with a little yoghurt or hummus if needed.. feeling satisfied ? Don't feel the need to move onto real foods yet. I've started drinking black tea everyday now and it actually helps feel satiety and not thinking much about food. I'm sitting between 350-450kcal a day doing well. Started my own diet 90 days ago and I'm officially down from HW 322lbs to CW 230lbs 27lbs since surgery. My next goal is to get below 220 (100KG here in Australia) then see how I look and feel once I hit 200lbs. Dietitian says 200lbs would be great! Anyways that's my latest news and I'm so happy & surgeon is so happy I'm the Easiest patient he's dealt with! No complaints. Don't have to see him again until 3 months post op. Just do routine blood tests with my local Dr. Cheers. MIKE.

Gastric bypass or sleeve
Lies.. There's maybe 5% chance of those issues where sleeve is like 50% chance of either getting gerd or making gerd worse. Everyday I see ppl complaining about gerd and needing revisions.. I'm 4 weeks post op from RNY with not one single issue

Pre-op liquid diet
You need to find a brand you like. I'm 4 weeks post op still on shakes with a little yoghurt and hummus if I need it and I'm happy..

New Here
Agree with above.. The way I'm going I'll be at goal within 3 months.. I know it will take much longer for my body to catch up and some skin to bounce back.. I'm only one month post op so taking it easy with weights for now until I'm feeling stronger.. I'll eventually need to go to the gym and do more resistance stuff to try tone up but i know it will be a long process even after reaching goal I'm relatively young so that helps of course..

Married with WLS
It really depends... Some partners like their spouse to stay big so they don't get any attention from other people and they may start to feel threatened once you start to lose weight..
-
3 weeks post op
Seems like you might be moving to Solids early and admitted to cheating a few times.. These things can impact your surgery success.. You might do well to go back to liquids and shakes like a detox
