  3. Okay it is definitely a learning process.. I have bought a nice multi cooker that does slow cooking and pressure cooking which will make any meat soft and tender ? thanks for your tips!
  4. It was good quality chicken burger patty...but maybe it is too dry or solid
  5. Hello there I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.. I've been on shakes a long time no issues with that or yoghurt consistency... Soon as I started this week some solids like healthy slice meat or a tiny 2oz chicken free range burger.. I had to chew a lot.. But as the burger was going down i could literally feel it going down my neck into my stomach felt weird and was Almost like indigestion until it settled in my stomach after about 10 mins but then I had to rush to toilet and some clear liquid came back up my throat with a little foam.. It has happened a few times.. Am I eating too quickly? Should I only have one bite then wait then have the next bite? Rather than just chewing the whole 2oz burger quickly.. I've been doing amazing but until experimenting with solid stuff has not been pleasant... So far I've tried some sliced meat which was ok but still felt weird going down.. The burger made me throw up some clear stuff...Took time to settle in my belly... Had 2 little cherry tomatoes that didn't agree with me at all came straight back up... What am I doing wrong?????? Thank you everyone I'm 6.5 weeks post op.
  6. At 29bmi you're not in any way high risk so the thought is you wouldn't have a lot to lose and would benefit from trying it the traditional way or at least try medication before any invasive surgery...... This surgery was created as a last resort for the obese or morbidly obese... Maybe if you were self pay it may be a different story....
  7. I feel starting liquids preop definitely helped me post op because most ppl are on liquids directly after surgery anyway... I'm 6.5 weeks out and still doing good mostly on shakes and that keeps me satisfied. Do yoghurt and hummus at times. Have tried a few solid things this week and wasn't a pleasant feeling so I'm fine sticking to shakes mostly and happy. I feel there's no reason to rush into solid and real meals because that is when calorie counting becomes even more stringent...
  8. Yep one of my nurses in hospital said one lady had bypass then ate pizza few days later.. Was back in hospital for 2 months to fix what she messed up!!!!!

  13. Started my journey at 43.9 bmi Currently just made it into the overweight category at 29.9 after 15 weeks But I feel bmi is a vague scale based on what my doctor and dietitian says for my ideal weight I may not even get into normal bmi. currently at 220 my ideal goal is 190 which is 25.7 so it's weird...
  14. Thank you all for your kind words.
