T-5 days. Yikes!

Hello everyone. I haven't posted since I first started the approval process but, at long last, my surgery is just about here! So many emotions. I would love to hear first-hand accounts of what to expect the day of surgery or the days immediately after, it would be much appreciated. Looking frayed to being part of the losing club!

The day of surgery you will go into the Pre Op area and get checked and ready to go to the OR. You will meet your doc and the sleep doc and go over some things. A nurse will clean your stomach and you will be in a Rolling bed - Tell the sleep Doc you are nervous and he will give you a med to help you relax, Then into the OR you get rolled and that was the last thing i recall one wiff of the happy gas and its lights out.

For me i woke up in the recovery area with this nurse yelling at me to breath breath breath - This is my whole life of women yelling at me first thing when i wake up.

Then its off to the room and Rest.

As soon as you can and trust me on this Walk and move - The faster you get out of bed and move move move the better you will be, You need to get the air and gas moving out, So walk the halls as much as you can.

I stayed on the morphine cuz i love drugs, but the pain was not bad at all and i was out in of there in less then 28 hours and home,
