  1. I buy water in 20oz bottles and drink one each morning, then refill it with tap water and have another bottle in the afternoon and another in the evening. That's 60 oz plus each day. It's just the easiest way for me to keep track and stay on track.
  2. Hi, I'm RosieJo and I live in Perry. If you or anyone you know would like to go to the support meeting, I would love to have company and would be glad to drive. Please let me know.
  3. You are such a great inspiration!! How tall are you?? What kind of exercise routine do you follow?
  4. Yaya, I'm so glad you have joined the gruop. I live in Perry and I'm a grandmother, too. I would love to meet you. RosieJo
  5. Thanks for the suggestion. JinWright's isn't familiar to me at all, but we will definitely try it. Even though I'm bored with what I eat at home, it's still "safer" than eating out where I will be greatly tempted. Are you the one getting married soon? If so, I wish you a long and happy marriage. We'll be celebrating our 36th anniversary this fall.
  6. Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm still doing a "modified" version of Sugar Busters--modified, meaning that I sometimes cheat, but I'm really tired of the "same old things". St Simons will offer a variety that can only cause trouble--Mullet Bay, Barbara Jean's, The Crab Trap, Spanky's and of course, Waffle House for breakfast evey morning. I can't believe it myself, but I'm beginning to try and talk my husband into staying home!!!! I guess nothing will calm me down until it's over.
  7. Hi, everyone. I was banded on May 21 and I've had no problems at all. I've lost 20 lbs so far and will have my first fill on July 2. I am getting a little nervous, as my appetite is beginning to come back and I'm having a hard time eating in a group situation. We will be going on vacation the week before my fill and I will have to be at restaurants at each meal. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stay on track? RosieJo
  8. I will be banded by Dr Bagnato this month. His staff seems happy to answer any questions and offer any support. Do you think you might have had an easer time if there had been a support group?
  9. Palmyra Hosp in Albany Ga gives 9 free fills per year to patients that self-pay.
  10. I think the party is just a small part of the problem. If your husband isn't 100% supportative of your decision, you've got a LONG, BUMPY road ahead of you. How far can you go to be a healthy weight if your husband (your main source of strength) is truly unhappy and not supportative?
  11. Congratulations! My surgery date is May 21 in Albany GA. You've helped calm my nerves. I'm just beginning to think about the "long-term" like 10 years from now and 20 years from now. Does anyone have any thoughs on that?
