  1. Sorry to hear that! Hang in there! Your clearance will be through soon and you will be back on your way.
  2. 70 pounds is amazing for 6 months. Remember this is a tool and the results are based on our effort we put into it, not the pouch itself.. But that amount in that short time is amazing.
  3. All those flavors sound amazing. I have a silly question and i know this is for the foreseeable future.. but how long after surgery do we stop drinking protein supplements?? Is it a forever thing?
  4. The only experience i have had with nausea was today. I am almost 3 weeks post op and today is day 4 without a BM.. well was day 4 LOL.. But after the restroom break, i was nauseous from going to the bathroom. I thought that was really weird.
  5. My date was set with the Surgeons office. The call of the time of surgery only happened 24 hours in advance.
  6. I wish you the best of luck, I do know that my surgery call did not come more than 24 hours before the surgery date so is it possible that the person answering the phone was looking at the wrong day? I was told they could not give me a time more than 24 hours in advance due to schedules and emergencies and such. Try to be positive and all. Did you check the insurance portal to make sure it was put in and your insurance approved the surgery and the date and all. Maybe there is something missing?
  7. I may have to try it, but i have found using a bike at the gym hurts my bum LOL.. is there any cushioning on these bikes?
  8. I have an unflavored one by Genepro but i am new at doing this.. I havent bought any of the flavored powders yet as my doctor recommended the genepro because it can be added to foods without changing flavors
  9. Congratulations and good luck!
  10. I do not even know what a spin class is, but I think I need to lose another 40 pounds first
  11. Take miralax or colace. I am almost 3 weeks post op and i am going on 4 days without a BM.. if nothing today, i will have to take something tomorrow.
  12. Congratulations! Keep up the great work!
  13. Congratulations! See you on the losers bench!
  14. Just slow it down so you dont feel discomfort. I did that a few times myself and i truly dont think its stretched otherwise we wouldnt feel the discomfort. The discomfort is the liquid in your throat.
  15. Congratulations! I am almost 3 weeks post op and totally glad i made this move. I am excited to see where i am in a year.
  16. i was sleeved on 11/8. I am eating cottage cheese and scrambled egg. I am sure you are fine
  17. Amazing! Congrats!
  18. During the day i am constantly sipping. I have found that helps. You drink more than you realize when you are sipping every few minutes. At one point i was getting my 64 ounces in before the end of my work day.. or at least close to 64 with my dinner protein being the last i needed to get in. Now that i am on puree, it is definitely a lot harder. If i get all my protein in, i dont get all my liquid in. It seems i have to sacrafice one for another. Today is day 4.. So i added protein powder to my food today.. helped a great deal. I have all my protein in for the day and now just the last 30 ounces of liquid before the end of the night. It is going to be trial and error. As of yesterday, couldnt get enough in.. Today all in by 4pm.. Too fast.. Will need to keep revamping so i am not over doing it and going the rest of the night without protein.. One thing is for sure.. with the added protein i can cut the mozz cheese from my egg, not needed. Maybe i will do the protein shake for lunch and then i can have a protein meal and get more fluids in during the day. The kicker is.. you have to wait 30 min before eating to take your last sip, and then 30 min after. So the more food you consume, the longer time frames you go without drinking.. can make it hard to get the liquid in. I am still playing with a schedule and pretty soon i hope to find my groove..
  19. I am on puree.. I do not eat my breakfast until i finish my cup of decaf with protein as creamer.. then i eat my lunch around 1 or so.. and dinner around 6 or 7.. Things will change when i go back to my ballroom dance classes starting dec 20th. I will have to reschedule when i eat, or my classes LOL
  20. I am on day 4 of puree. The first 3 days i seriously felt like i was over stuffing myself. Today i cut it back to 2 2ounce meals and broke them both into 2.. so 4 times.. but i did it during the day only and am finished.. Only i also added genepro (30g) of protein to the food.. half scoop in each.. I also had my protein shake at some point. I may move the shake to lunch, have a scrambled egg for breakfast and leave the second course of protein for dinner. I had to try something different because eating 2 ounces at once.. was way too much and i was getting the pressure in the chest.
  21. The Surgery I consider a last resort.. meaning now the rest is up to me.. with the lifestyle change as well. I know it is easier said than done, but we should be in a constant work of progress and will forever watch what we eat and do going forward. Eating and over eating is all a mindset so i can see how some can revert once they feel they have met the goal and Oh this one thing wont hurt.. the problem is the one thing can lead to another and another so its best not to try the one thing in the first place.
  22. I got Genepro from Amazon on Prime Deliery. Today is the first day i used it and i feel oh so good about getting all my protein in before i leave work. Now i can focus the rest of my night on water intake since i still have about 30 ounces to go.. and if i really want something i will have a popcicle.
  23. I started Biotin a month before
  24. That is awesome Congrats! Question since i am new though. Is that your waist or a combination of arms, waist, thighs? Curious for when i start doing that. I am only 2.5 weeks post op.
