  1. Congrats, and prayers all goes well and that you have an awesome and speedy recovery!
  2. I didnt do this as a quick fix. I did this as a deterrent to get off track. Once i am on track i am fine, its the falling off i needed help with. This puts a rule in place for me and doesnt allow me to slip and get off track.
  3. I cannot wait to eat veggies. Following this thread for ideas! I start solids on December 20th.
  4. I dont think i ever did the body fat thing on a scale. Should i change out my scale and start measuring that?
  5. I am not a doctor but would not recommend it so soon. You will be way drunk off a couple of sips while your friends are wondering why you are putting sideways Have a great trip!
  6. Thanks for the information!
  7. Maybe people are doing totals. I know i do both but having said that.. when i was on a diet before the surgery, I lost 120 in 8 months. Sadly i put it back on hence the surgery, so it is possible especially with the surgery limiting what your intake is. Having said that i was at the gym 7 days a week back then too.
  8. It should be fine.. Also on first night there let your waiter know of your dietary restrictions and they will accommodate for sure.. I was sleeved on 11/8 and going to DC this weekend. I would also let the medical doctor on board know of your surgery.
  9. I had Dr Shillingford for 10500. Included pre op testing, consult, 2 nights in hospital, anesthesiologist and all that good stuff and a year worth of follow up Appts.. tho after the first one I will consult by phone.. Nothing extra needed, no studies or evaluations.. He did an amazing job, the ladies in the office are amazing, and the hospital staff are awesome as well.
  10. most docs do not allow NSAIDS... did you get a list of from your Dr for meds that are ok to take? We are not doctors in here (that I know of lol) so you might want to be extra careful with any recommendations. I do know for sure we are not supposed to have NSAIDS.. and always follow your doctors orders.
  11. Why so long of a High BMI? To see if its been an ongoing issue?
  12. forgot to mention I had ricotta bake with finely ground turkey mixed into it.
  13. That looks amazingly good! I cannot wait to be able to eat solids.
  14. I am glad somebody has the answers lol I am confused reading this lol
  15. you will be walking starting day of surgery. The first few days you might only be able to go to the end of the block and back, for a few min at a time, but no worries by the time the first week is over, you will be up to your 30 min walks.
  16. the liquid diet shrinks your liver. since the dr is working on your stomach and the liver is the organ wither right next to or above.. by shrinking it, it allows the surgeon to see the stomach better due to its size being smaller
  17. So something weird just happened to me. I finished dinner a while ago and decided to have a SF Popsicle. About halfway though the SF Popsicle I had to stop. I felt like I had trapped air in my airways. And then came the pressure and burping to get it all out. Almost like I started liquids all over again at the beginning. Anybody have any idea what may have caused that? I have had SF Popsicles before and never had it happen. It was a really weird sensation and I would like to try and avoid it in the future but not really sure what caused it to begin with.
  18. I agree with Matt.. Totally normal, but you will have to still eat and drink in your case drink because you are on liquids most likely. The key will be to stay hydrated so you don't end back up in the hospital.
  19. Just continue being the person you are. If they are taking your verbiage incorrectly then there is something on their end that makes them feel that way.. Like Green said.. moving the guilt to another party so they dont have to accept it.
  20. The advice i got from my dr.. on the multi vitamins as that is all i am taking right now. Was to make sure i did not take on an empty stomach. The first 3 days i got sick.. then on Saturday was my forth attempt.. and i had it after my breakfast. I was so nervous taking it afraid i was going to get sick again, but i did not. So now i am 3 days into taking it with my food..(or after i finish breakfast food) and i havent been sick at all.
