  1. Hi guys! Well.... my parents were pleasantly surprised, I think. Everytime my mom sees me in a new outfit she goes on and on about how skinny I am! Yesterday my grandparents came down for lunch, and were also surprised. My grandma thinks even if I didn't lose anymore weight, I'd be perfect, so that's nice. My best friend, or old bestfriend is coming over in an hour or so, to say hi. I haven't seen her in about a year. She knows I've lost 'some' weight (not about the surg). I'm hoping to get a good reaction outta her! And then there's another friend who's in town that I'm gonna see soon. She's the one I'd go to the bar with, IF we go to the bar. It doesn't sound too promising. Oh well... if nothing else, I'll just have more time to get looking even better and wow em' next time. Who know's if jerkface is even here this Chritsmas. My Christmas present from myparents was clothes. The day after they picked me up from the airport, we went out and did some shopping. I got a couple pair of pants, a few shirts, some pj pants, and a cool jacket. The pants were 14's and 16's! The 14's can definitely be grown into (or whatever I should call it when they're a tad too tight, but I can wear 'em for a while and have them look good until they just get too big!) I'll talk to ya all later! Mandi
  2. weeeeeeeeee! I don't have to lie about saying I made it to 90 lbs!!! Today it said 192.8 :omg: I know it's just a fluke, and I'll be happy if I'm still under 200 by thetime I get back! See ya
  3. Ok guys, saying my goodbye! I'm leavin' tomorrow morning. I'm sure I'll be on here off and on while I'm home... but probably not NEARLY as much as I want! I hope you all have a great Christmas, and an awesome New Year's in case I don't get the chance to say it before. See you guys, and thanks for everything! Mandi
  4. Yeah... I didn't wanna even think about sitting in my own filth until I had no scabbies!
  5. thanks guys, and guess what!?! I saw a 194.8 on the scale this morning!!! Close enough! Now, someone tell me... how the hell does liquid cause me pain? I made the mistake of trying a protein shake yesterday morning. That was a bad idea. It ruined my day, and everything was very difficult to eat. Then this morning, I decide that no protein shakes for me... but surely milk would be ok. NOPE. Then I thought my hot coffee would make it all better. NOPE. I drank maybe 1/4 of it. Ordered soup at lunch, managed to drink the liquid from it, and a couple bites of turkey (after hot tea also!) ... the spit up slime on the way back to the office! GRRRRR!
  6. mmm... truffles. I like plain old Toffifee (sp?) ahhhh....
  7. (or whisper to him that you know how MUCH he wants you, but you're married to his brother, so to please drop the act! :omg: )
  8. haha... is that *the* same manager?? Tonight was the big night at the gym. Lauren and I both got congrats cards, stuffed with some moolah! I also found out that I WAS the REAL 1st place! She was 22.75 and I was 23.5 ... the 3rd place lady was 16. I don't know how they get those numbers... something with the weight and measurements. That gave me a little bit of a smirk (don't tell!)
  9. you are SO lucky that you don't have your scale!! Stay away from 'em as long as you can
  10. Oh... me too becca! So.... dagbnabbit (?)!!! I lose a pound for my weigh-in today. 195.4 . 194 would make me able to say I've lost 90. I'll weigh myself again on Friday before we leave town, but I won't count on it. Maybe I'll just fudge it a little and round up to 90 even if I don't make it.
  11. Just wanna give you a heads up. I bought various berries to add to my Optifast. Adding a few berries to it is BARELY noticable. I ended up eating the berries by themselves Don't bother with them, you'll probably end up eating them alone like I did... adding ANY of the other suggestions (tea, coffee, flavours, crystal light) would be 100X better. and nope, no frozen fruits, becca. No nothin'. You're allowed a cup of veggies ('that grow above the ground' {except potatos, carrots, corn}) a day. I had them a couple times, but they just weren't enjoyable to me with no flavouring (cheese, sauces, butter)... so I stuck to JUST shakes. (mostly) After a while, I was so sick of them, I was lucky if I had more than 1 shake a day! haha... but I'm sure you'll love it!
  12. Congrats, Loriely, that's awesome!
  13. Oh yeah, by the way. I decided I didn't want that 27 mill. last week. I'm holding out for the 30 mill. this friday! Ahhh... what a nice Christmas present that would be. Doesn't it seem so unfair that I don't win? (hehe) I would give SO much away... I would do good things! I would even start a Canadian LBT Cruise Fund! Why is it always the 80 yr olds that win?!?!? I'd really be happy winning something like the "Set For Life" even. That would be cool.
  14. yeah, I know... I looked 'em up, and the calories alone are 500! And Wheezy, LOL, no... I haven't. But I doubt that's it! She's got a few more pounds on me... so I dunno, maybe that's how she's able to eat them. I figure my odd honey cruller is not nearrrrly as bad as one of those sandwiches! She bought that "YOU on a diet" book, that she saw on Oprah, and is following something that's talked about in the book, I guess. Apparently she's not eating as much pasta, but I don't know where in the book it would say that something like that would be a good idea! Sausage, egg, cheese on a biscuit!? Maybe I'm jealous. Nah! I had bites of Dan's a couple times when they first came out, and now, just smelling them around the office every morning makes me sick! On that note... I should tell you guys about my new work place. After the Xmas break, we'll be coming back to a new studio. A whole new building to ourselves, that they've been renovating for the past few months. It was owned by 'the Legion', and now they're only occupying the basement, which includes a bar! Woo! THE coolest thing, I think, is.... there's a big kitchen in this place. It's going to be rented out to a catering company, who's going to do their thing in our kitchen, but also run what's pretty much like a little restaurant right in our office! We were able to give suggestions for foods we'd like them to have on the menu. It's pretty cool. I JUST hope, that there's not a ton of deep frying going on... I've worked in my share of greasy restaurants, and I don't wanna smell that again!
  15. Thank you, becca, and neenagh! I'm ok with it. I'm glad that I won't have lost the most, so won't get questioned on how the heck I did it. I don't know how the heck SHE did it, having a Tim Horton's breakfast sandwich every morning!
  16. Go back to the US where you belong, neenagh! I suppose you speak in miles too. haha  you know I'm kiddin'.
  17. she thinks she knows everything. My blender couldn't crush ice worth crap... but the magic bullet could. It's just nice, because you blend in the same cup that you drink from, so there's no transferring, and its small, if you have to bring it with you anywhere. You could try adding a bit of cold coffee, Chai (or whatever kind of tea you like), and single crystal light packages. I tried those, but liked the crystal light thing the best.
  18. Oooh man... you got a shaker bottle?! haha, you won't want to use it anyways. Use ice and a magic bullet, if you have one, and if not, a blender.
  19. Angel Bear and Dawn! Good job!!! I did make my first Xmas goal, which was to get to this elusive ONEderland. Then decided to go for 90lbs, which would make me 194. . Don't think that's gonna happen by friday, but that's ok. Ditto to what you guys said. I'm going to enjoy myself this Christmas. No depriving myself either.
  20. Sounds nice Lila! Hope you're having a good time. And try to take it as easy as possible on yourself! Just work on getting as much fluids as possible, which probably still isn't much. Any chance you could find some protein shakes, or have some with you? I'm sure those wouldn't go too well right now, but hopefully soon. Get that water in!! and some vitamins! You don't wanna end up in the hospital there. (imagine me wagging my finger at you!) Take care, and Merry Christmas!
  21. Hey guys, I'm back. I've been feeling sorry for myself, over my funky bangs, and the fact that what's-her-face lost 14 lbs to my 11lbs... which I found out on Sat. at the party. The party.... ehh... let's just say I got a lot of hassling today about it. I didn't make a fool of myself, but apparently I was quite lively.... and funny, they say. I told this guy (who happened to be the guy I had for Secret Santa), that I wanted to make him a CD, because he's a DJ at a couple local bars - "It's that sh!t you like, mixed with other sh!t you like, and made into something way cooler!". It was supposed to be to make up for my lame CD store gift card. I did alot of hugging... think I convinced one of the accounting ladies to come to the gym... harassed a waiter ...along with a whole bunch of other people. Guys hit on me... I think. It was very strange, but very nice! I think it scared Dan. So yeah, the next day was rough... not the worst I've ever lived, but a little rough!! Today, I had to face people, and try to recollect what stupid things I'd told/said to them. Apparently I was funny though... and as long as I didn't embarass Dan (or myself too much) I'm ok with it. Went to the gym tonight, by myself, because she had to work late. I ran into the changeroom and hopped on the scale, just to check if I had a better weight to report. I didn't. Think I was even up. Did my workin' out, and halfway asked the lady when we'll find out the results, because we were leaving for Xmas on Friday. She said she wasn't sure, and proceeded to call who I only imagined was the boss lady. When I was all done, and leaving, she was still on the phone... she stopped me and said that we would know on Wed. She said "there's 2 people tied for 1st place". I said "oh, wow, who else?" she wouldn't tell me. and I said "Well, I know its not me, cause Lauren lost way more than me". She told me it WAS me and her who were tied, because even though she lost more, I lost more inches... and however they figure it out, we are sooo close that she said it wouldn't be fair to call us either 1st or 2nd. So we're both 1st!! WOOO! That soooo made my day/week. I was feeling bad for not trying more... and being cocky... and that I haven't lost anything in weeks. But that makes me feel better. I'll still get some money, and I should be able to buy a 3 month membership with it. I'm not going to make my Xmas goal. I wanted to be able to tell people when I see them that I've lost 90lbs. Not that the real number isn't awesome... but saying NINETY seems so much more surreal. Maybe some freaky thing will happen between now and friday, but I won't count on it. I figure now, screw it, I'm going to enjoy Xmas, and I'll worry about this when I get home. anyways, lots of more posts to read! and only 4 more sleeps til I go home!
  22. Wow Wheezy... that's crazy. I saw on Canada AM this morning, they were talking about/showing what the chances of a white xmas in the 60's were, compared to now. (I'm copying this from the website, cause I wanted to make sure it was right:) The probability of seeing a White Christmas in the 1960s was: Calgary: 73 per cent Charlottetown: 93 per cent Edmonton 100 per cent Toronto: 60 per cent Montreal: 80 per cent But the chances have dropped across the board, and in the past decade the probabilities are: Calgary: 47 per cent Charlottetown: 67 per cent Edmonton: 73 per cent Toronto: 33 per cent Montreal: 67 per cent So yeah... somethin's going on. We've barely got any snow. It was cold for maybe a week, and any snow we had has mostly melted. Supposed to be super cold and snowy in SK, so I'll get more than my fill, I'm sure!
  23. I won't. We'll all go on a cruise!
  24. Sounds like a cool place, green. And thanks guys for the good haircut vibes! Too bad they didn't work!! it's not baaad. I was happier with it the night I got it cut, than I was the next day when it was washed and I had to try to replicate it myself. Apparenly my hair's a little kinky to just blowdry and expect my bangs to look ok. They're also more blunt than I'd like. She said they'd be tapered down, but they really aren't. As they grow, I'll make sure I get that done, cause right now, I don't feel like I can just let them hang down. They feel tooo weird. Yesterday, I wore my hair in a ponytail for the very first time at work, and pinned the bangs back. Tonight's our Xmas party and I just don't know what i'll do. I bought a cheapo straightener, and hopefully that'll tame my bangs. I'm pretty sure I won that 27 million last night, so if I did, I'll buy a super nice wig, with the kind of bangs I want!
  25. Yay! Neenagh!!!!! ok.. now it's on! race to 160!!
