Trinity Joy born 1/19/11. Gained 55 lbs during pregnancy...OMG!! And so the weight loss begins again.
  5. Hi I was also banded by Dr. Spiegal March of 07'. I have lost 40 lbs since I first had the band. It's been a slow process for me cause I found out I was 4 months pregnant 5 months after having surgery. I actually lost 38 lbs my first 4 months of pregnancy. I had my daughter on Jan. 28, 08' and went back in for my first fill at the beginning of March. I have only lost another 10lbs since then but I think it is because of the pregnancy my body is trying to play catch up. Anyway, I hope your weight loss journey is coming along good. 19 lbs in one month is great!! Keep up the good work.
  6. Dr. Felix Spiegal has support groups every Thursday and Saturday. Try going there. There is always a lot of people.
  7. First of all..... Congratulations!! This is such great news. I just had my first daughter 4 months ago after 12 years of trying. I know it can be hard but GOD does everything for a reason. At least you are at the half way point to your 3 month mark. These are the most important months. Once you hit 3 months it will be so much easier knowing your baby is alright. I will keep you in my prayers & I wish you the best of luck to you. Keep me posted.
  8. Congrats on your surgery date. I hope everything turns out good for you. Feels good to finally be in control....Right!! Best wishes!
  9. Flydove, I just had a baby 3 months ago. I had no problems with my port sticking out. I was completely unfilled so it was like I had never had the surgery. If it wasn't for scars on my stomach you wouldn't even know. You should join the banded and pregnant thread on this website. There are other woman who are pregnant or trying to and have some of the same questions. Hope this helps and good luck.

These are some pictures of me during my pregnancy.
  11. dezadoo, I feel for you girl.I would have been really pissed :angry_smile:too if that would have happened. Just think of the other surprises you will get once he is born.....who will he look like, how much will he weight, does he have hair. There will still be lots of suprises. When I had my baby girl I knew she was a girl but expected her to be about 6lbs. she ended up weighting 8 pounds 3 oz. I was shocked! Anyway, sorry to hear about your disappointment but try not to let it get you down. Now you can think of all the exciting things to do with a boy.
  12. Blacdimin, I am sure everything will work out for you. You can just start loosing weight again after you have the baby. If you were in Texas I would recommend my OB/GYN since I was only 5 month into my surgery when I found out I was 4 months pregnant. Good Luck and let me know when you hear the good news!
  13. Losingitforlife, I would recommend getting all the fill taken out. The baby is going to need all the room to grow and you want to make sure the baby gets all the nutients it needs. If you keep some fill you might not be able to eat everything. Plus believe me your stomach is going to change during pregnancy....for the better:)
