My name is Shane... I am 29 years old and I am taking charge of my life. I have decided to have the lap band and after rigorous months of pre-opt stuff... I have a date on July 14th with a surgeon to do my surgery. I am super excited.:biggrin:

Im 27 and had my surgery 5 months ago. It was seriously the BEST decision I have ever made in my life. I am so happy and full of energy! I have lost 80 since surgery. Are you on any type of pre-surgery diet?

Hey Shonda... Dr. Nease is doing my surgery as well. I see him the week of the 9th and 11th right before my surgery.

Yes... I am diabetic... so I have to watch carbs. That is one of the reasons why I am having this surgery. I also have arthritis and fatty liver disease. Which... all of it will correct itself once I have this surgery and lose the weight.

My appt for next week has been rescheduled due to the Dr. being out of town. A little upsetting. I will see him on the 27th. Since I am private pay I hope to get a surgery date shortly thereafter. Good luck with your journey and let me know how things are progressing.
